Review summary

We had a very enjoyable cruise with my brother and his wife and my sister and her husband. It was our first cruise although none of the others had been on a cruise before. It was a great time with our family.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington Did not visit port

We live in the Seattle area so we simply boarded the ship.

Cruise Puget Sound Did not visit port

We boarded the ship about 1:00 p.m. and went straight to lunch. After that we got ourselves situated in the cabin so there wasn't a lot of time to do much else.

CRUISE STEPHENS PASSAGE

3 out of 5
The views were interesting, but everything was a little gray and overcast.

Juneau, Alaska

3 out of 5
We enjoyed our tour to the Mendenhall Glacier (although the shore excursion was sold out and we purchased this one after leaving the ship). We would have liked more time in port to do more things.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
We went on the catamaran excursion to get as close to the glacier as possible and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sitka, Alaska

4 out of 5
We enjoyed our time ashore on the Birds, Bears, and Barnacles shore excursion of the Raptor Center, Marine Science Center, and Fortress of the Bear. We did have some time afterwards to explore downtown Sitka, but would have liked some more time.

Ketchikan, Alaska

3 out of 5
Again, we were short on time to explore the town itself, but we greatly enjoyed the Ketchikan Highlights and Totem Bight State Park shore excursion.

Victoria, British Columbia

2 out of 5
Victoria is a great port of call, but our time in port was short and most of the sights were closed by the time we arrived. We did not bother to get off the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Everything went quickly and easily.
