Review summary

Holland should be up front and honest about everything, I had to pay 31.00 bucks a day for "tips" which I am not opposed to but should have been made aware of this prior to booking the cruise. I purchased a "internet" plan 130.00 that was worthless, I didn't buy the drink Package so I had to pay 7 bucks for 2 cups of coffee. How much is a lb of coffee?? Every turn was more money for this, more money for that, such a shame.

Went on an excursion Food Lovers Tour of Sitka, what a joke, was taken to a brewery, from there to a garage and sit at picnic tables. Holland should send a rep to take the excursions before they allow their clients to book them.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Was a great outing, nice town had an excellent time

Victoria, British Columbia

Ship was late arriving, not giving us "older" folks time to visit comfortly.

Disembarkation

Paid 60 bucks to leave early and get a bus to the airport, could have done this exact thing FREE!!

All the cruise lines have tips, now I would never do this because it’s just plain mean, but you can go to guest services to have them removed, this is tacky, because your room stewards and wait staff work real hard, we always give them more. As far as coffee , how much do you pay on land at say Starbucks, my guess is it’s a lot more,

Let me guess. 1st time on a cruise ship?

Sorry you were uninformed about the additional costs. Appreciate your feedback.

I’m guessing you have not cruised before. Daily tip charges are on every cruise line and it is well documented on their website. You can also pay it all in advance if you want, that’s our preference. Also you can have it removed when you board at guess services and then just tip for service. We pay all of the daily service charges in advance and then tip individuals for excellent service.

3.50 is actually pretty good for a coffee and surely not much more than you’d pay on land! I’m sure I spend most of my onboard credit at Starbucks on some cruises it’s so expensive!

Costs are normal, a little research and a different T A might have made you more informed. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry your cruise was so bad

I feel that cruising is a good value, but if you are concerned about 3.50 for coffee, cruising may not have for you
