Review summary

This was an absolutely amazing adventure. Cruising the Adriatic, spending so much time in Croatia specifically, made this really a unique experience. And the food and staff are so wonderful on this ship. I am a Holland American loyalist after this cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffet wasn't really my thing, but the food in the restaurant was always amazing. Gala nights were wonderful and fun to dress up, so bring your tux or beaded dress if you want - but certainly not the majority or guests.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were two pools that were average, and not much extra-ciricular activities on the physical side, but there were daily programs that were of some interest. And the spa was great.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I didn't do much of the stage shows, but I heard they were pretty average.

Children's Programs

I didn't bring my child, but they had an ice cream bar open all day and the kids loved it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service on this ship was beyond compare. Absolutely amazing staff from house keeping to bar tenders to maitre d. We stayed in the Neptune suite, and therefore had the conierges in the exclusive Neptune lounge, and they get six out of five stars. The most pleasant, hard working, knowledgeable and helpful woman ever.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our suite was perfect... the oversized balcony had two lounge chairs plus a table for four. Inside the seating area was the perfect size, plenty of hanging room in closets, and good size vanity area and bathroom. The shower was definitely lacking, however.... I wound up taking baths.

Ship tip

I think this ship is perfect for cruising when you have lots of ports of call and not too many sea days. The staff is so helpful though, and the spa is always great, so there is always something to do.

Venice was so over packed! There were six cruise ships in when we were there, and it's just too many people. I had visited Venice many times before, years before it became the cruise ship capital of the world. They have completely ruined it. The biggest disappointment of the cruise.
