Review summary

The trip is really what you make of it. We wanted to learn a lot so we scheduled many excursions. The pools were pretty empty in the evening but well lighted. Outside seating is also much more available after everyone goes for dinner and the show or music. We felt that there was not hard core push to the shopping or other amenities, which was nice. Overall, a very nice cruise.

The ship's production shows were excellent. They were designed for the round, revolving stage and worked well. The solo performers did not adapt well to that stage and for the most part we saw the backside of them.

Pompeii was very hot. Our group was too large so they put half of us with another guide, He had plenty of stories but he never oriented us to the ruins or gave us a map.

We visited the Cinque Terre using a train to go from town to town. Very Nice.
