The food was delicious at all venues. I loved the Greens salad station on Deck 17. I would get the grilled shrimp from the taco station and add it to my salad. So good.
The Umai Teppanyaki restaurant was ok. I am glad I tried it once. The Crown Grill, Spellbound, and the sushi restaurant were excellent! Definitely worth trying.
Onboard Activities

There is something for everyone to enjoy! My favorite was the Irish Pub, O’Malleys. Excellent Irish singers and performers. (The food is excellent there too).
The aft pool was always crowded. I miss the design of previous Princess ships that has an outer bench that allows you to sit with your feet in the pool. They do have the outer benches surrounding the Lido Deck pools, however, those pools are usually very crowded.

It’s a beautiful ship. They definitely need to add more self-laundry facilities. (I was on a 21-day cruise). They only had two washers & dryers per floor. It was free at this time. That was great. You meet a lot of wonderful passengers waiting to do laundry. (Silver lining). 😁
Cabin / Stateroom

It was a beautiful cabin (the decor and bed furnishings), however, I didn’t know this when I booked the cabin, but it is connected to a service area. The wall with the bed was the wall of the service area. Throughout the night you could hear various sounds, discussions, ladders moving, etc. I hope that Princess will consider adding sound-proofing in this area. Definitely, pack excellent earplugs.
Ship tip
Ignore the negative reviews and comments, and board with an open mind. I loved every minute, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to sail on this beautiful ship during its inaugural season. Also. As a fun souvenir, I paid $5 for my Medallion to have the Sun Princess on the cover instead of the classic captain’s circle color.
We sail in 10 days boarding in Barcelona- so 15 min is great! We are excited to sail for 25 days in about 10 days - transatlantic voyage. Thanks for your positive review!
