Good Mediterranean cruise by frankjmuller

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner

If you use Regents air package be prepared for long travel days. You do not know the itinerary until just before departure and then everything is full and basically unchangeable and they charge you to change it. Regent does NOT have previews of the upcoming excursions which we missed greatly to inform us specifically and in general about the areas we were about to visit. Viking is our go to and comparison cruise line and we feel still the better choice for us.

Awesome vacation with many good memories. by beckym29596007

The cruise was wonderful. I would recommend the excursions plan more free time for lunch and a little shopping. It seemed like we were always rushed.

Alaska was beautiful but the ship wasn't what we expected. by mgoblue76

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner / Destination: Alaska

Alaska is beautiful, especially if the weather cooperates which it did. The excursions we participated in were all great but expensive. They were the Dog Sledding experience in Juneau, Hiking the Mead Glacier in Skagway and Viewing Bears in Ketchikan. These were not the free excursions Regent advertises. Food was a disappointment. Prime 7 was great, steaks properly cooked and served. Compass Rose was generally good but a few misses, like the lobster bisque which tasted fishy and unfortunately most of the seafood dishes also tasted fishy. Chartreuse was not to our liking. Sette Mari was at best so so, with the veal being thin and tough and the marsala having little flavor. On the plus side, their desserts in all the restaurants were excellent. They do this very well. In addition, we had the misfortune of waking up to a non-working toilet midway through the cruise. My butler said it affected the last section of the ship including the crew's quarters. Running around trying to find a useable toilet on a supposedly luxury cruise line? Really? Service was first rate. Some of the wait staff remembered us from previous sittings and greeted us by name. Our butler and steward were exceptional. Finally the promise of Regent giving you free air fare is technically accurate but initially they routed us through multiple cities with interminably long layovers. But when we were willing to fork over an additional $350 we suddenly got non-stop flights from San Francisco to Anchorage and Vancouver to San Francisco that took a fraction of the travel time we would have incurred had we stayed with Regent's original bookings. Bottom line is that we decided to try a "luxury" cruise experience, but I don't think it lived up to its billing, certainly not vastly superior to other cruises we have taken on RCL, Holland America, Princess, even Disney when our daughter was very young to name but a few.

Fantastic experience. Amazing food, everywhere on board. Engaging wonderful staff. They read my mind. by thouser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

Even though we had many ports cxld on us because the ports feared Covid, we made the best of it on the best cruise line out there. They gave us 2 overnights in SFO at the end instead of 3 ports in Mexico. They also gave us 25% off our next cruise if booked in a year and sail within 2 yrs. So that was very generous and the staff was so wonderful that we soon didn't care about the ports at all. We loved the ship and loved being at sea on Regent. 18nts turned out to be not enough. I didn't want to leave.

More than a 3 day cruise!!! by jbandejwood

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

The thing that hurts the most is that now 3 weeks after the cruise that NOT ONE person from Regent has reached out or contacted us. Regent has reacted unlike a top cruise line, more like one that cares less about its guests in times of crisis. We have already booked 2 more cruises with Regent this year and next, but apparently Regent has no empathy for its "guests" making them like other cruise lines that DO NOT CARE about guests. Many passengers we spoke with on board also left Regents lack of consideration for its guest. We would hope that Regent would be more proactive and have a greater concern for it "guest"

Wonderful adventure by jscott4722

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner / Destination: South America

This was our first cruise on Regent and it was much better than any of the other 12 cruise lines that we have cruised with. We will cruise with them again. The Amazon adventure was was so unique by taking in a river boat cruise with an ocean cruise on the same luxury ship.

excellent service by nsanpedro

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner / Destination: Caribbean

Enjoyed the cruise,,,but found most people pretty unfriendly Too many tables for two...Hard to meet people that way.. Dancing with the "Duo"was really good and should have been in the Horizon Lounge where the dance floor is larger.. It was always packed.. The Horizon was always empty on the dance floor except for maybe one or two couples..

Service not as personal as it has been in the past. Quality of food in Prime 7 was poor on one occasion as was the service. The service and food in Chartruese was excellent. On board lectures were very good to excellent. Excursions were very good.

Wonderful Trip and Wonderful Weather by MartinezMike

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner / Destination: Alaska

Overall, my wife and I had a great experience. The ship was great, the staff was top notch and the food was unbelievable. The demographics skew 70 and 80 years old. My wife and I are 60 and felt like we were a bit out of our element. We met a few nice people, but not as many as expected.

Disappointing Alaskan Cruise by nmmoran

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner / Destination: Alaska

One port was cancelled due to passenger going overboard. No offer of reimbursement was made due to missed port. A norovirus outbreak occurred on the cruise prior and this info was given to us at time of embarkation. I found out that the cruise price was reduced after I had made my final payment and was never informed of this by my travel agent David Brown.

Vancouver to Southeast Alaska by Janellandjoel3

Very accommodating staff from staffing the mini bar to special dinner Accomadations. Loved the Coffee Connection on board serving specialty coffees and alcohol based coffee drinks. They also have a self serve coffee machine in case you just want to grab and go.
