Review summary

Our third trip to Alaska on the Seven Seas Mariner was as amazing as the first! Cruising Alaska on a Regent ship is the only way to go!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Our embarkation went smoothly, even though there were added Covid 19 pre-boarding requirements.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Every restaurant on the Mariner provides superior food and wine service. Menu selections are extensive and elegantly prepared.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Bingo, Casino Games, Afternoon Tea, as well as many other offerings. There is definitely something for everyone.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The evening stage shows and visiting Magician were quite entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We received outstanding service from every member of the Mariner staff. Our stewardess and sommelier stand out as personal favorites.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship cleanliness and maintenance were always a top priority.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was spotless and serviced at least twice daily. There is plenty of storage and the furniture and bedding are very comfortable.

Ports of call

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska Did not visit port

This port was for Embarkation Only.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

4 out of 5
This is the third time we have been on a Regent cruise scheduled to stop at this location. Due to unpredictable weather conditions in Alaska, every cruise experience has been different. On this trip, due to greater than normal ice flow in the water, we only got within 5 miles of the glacier face. Still close enough to get a good look and nice photos.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
This city is full of amazing local art and Russian/Tlingit Alaskan history. Yes, we did book an excursion.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
There are a large variety of interesting places and activities in this Alaskan capital city. Yes, we did book an excursion.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Beautiful historically preserved small gold mining community. The White Pass train ride is a must! Yes, we did book an excursion.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Ketchikan is an interesting city. With a good variety of outdoor excursions and historic downtown. No, we did not book an excursion on this trip. We have visited before.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5
Quiet, relaxing day at sea. Beautiful scenery.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia Did not visit port

Transported directly to the airport upon disembarkation.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Vancouver has a well organized, efficient disembarkation process.

Thank you for the review. Quick question, at what time are the shows at the Theater?

Glad to hear you enjoyed your Alaskan cruise. Thanks for your positive review of Mariner. We are on her for the 2023 WC Jan-May. Have sailed Regent before but not on Mariner.
