Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The ship was very nice. All of the general areas were very clean, fresh and new looking. The staff at every level was outstanding. Awesome customer service. The ports of call were great. Loved being back on a Royal Carribbean ship.

Loved This Cruise! by SusanneD1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Came on this cruise with hesitation from other reviews. Was quite surprised with food. Tasted great, good selection to chose from. Chops is the best but now $30 per person. The comedian on night 4 was hiliarious! Even though it's a small ship couldn't tell there were over 2000 people on board. Aruba and Curacao are very windy ports so any water excursions should be on the calm side of the islands. We had 6-8 foot swells which we were told are normal. St. Kitts very hot but must try the zip line - what fun! Also, Batik factory is expensive but quality is good. Shopping in Aruba is priced like U.S. but tax is only 1.5%. Curacao is still in dutch guilders but they will convert to U.S. currency. Lots of purchasing in Curacao. There is not an art auction on this ship but Bingo is played a couple of days during the week.

a fantastic vacation by Todd1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

In general the ship was well maintained and in good service. There seemed to be more difficulty in seating in the large buffet dining area. the area seemed to be overcrowded for the number of passengers. Food and entertainment were very good. The stateroom bathroom was a little cramped compared to other ships on Princess Crusie Lines that I have sailed. There were a couple of cabin maintenance issues that took longer to resolve than I though they should have

Great cruise! by DannyP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

First of all it is a beautiful ship with beautiful and plenty of places to walk around the ship..from your stateroom to the solarium that is like an indoor pool..so quiet and relaxing. There were so many places to walk around. The food in the Dining Room was B+ class as well as the service but to be honest the food at the Windjammer was even better. I'd give an A+ on that. The one thing I didn't like was the table sitting at the dining room so I preferred to eat for an additional fee to eat at one fo their restaurants called Portofino and Chopps Grill...The experience in these 2 rest were superb!...Loved it! Quality was absolutely great. The ship had different areas to sit and have a drink. For me was the Schooner bar or the safari club with different activities throughout the day. I also found that the ship was more oriented towards older population, mostly >65y/o activities. The tours on the islands and the port of call with duty free shopping turns out to be the same in every island. I'm from the caribbean so I dont recommend people from the caribbean to take this ship cause you'll be bored. Overall, would I do it again?...definitely yes! but I'll choose Alaska or Mexico area next time.

Great Cruise by DeboraB

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The boat was smaller than other cruise boats that we have sailed on but I understand that is needed to enter the smaller islands. The boat had great food. On Mothers Day we paid the extra fee to eat at Chops Grille..food was excellent, filet mignon..etc..great! I wish I had know that this cruise is not primarily for the young single folks as I hd brought my 24 yr son with us and he was ready to party..unfornuately the club was bearly full at most 20 people (beautiful club by the way) otherwise the only other problem was h casino..payouts were only visible on the table games,,most people left the casino around 11pm after giving so much to the slots with no payouts...overall we still enjoyed our trip and the cruise

Living the Dream! by LaraineL

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The people on the ship were professional, yet very friendly. In spite of all the people they take care of, they all remembered our names. We felt bad when we left and hope to see them all again. We also enjoyed the cleanliness of the ship, the beauty of the ship, and all the wonderful entertainment they provided. They were a CLASS act!

a cruise on a nice ship by PeterR4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Ship was beautiful and well run both by seafaring and passenger care staff. Even in a force 6 wind, ship was very stable which was great but sort of disappointed my wife and myself - we wanted more of the "at sea" experience!

A Get-Away Vacation by LauraC9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The ship itself was beautiful. It was the guests that left some issues. Unfortunately, the staff didn't seem to want to "rock the boat" when dealing with the guests and the problems attached.

Great ship and great ports by NatF

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I have been on many ships in the past and I found the layout of this one to be so streamlined and intuitive. This was an all around good trip. The food was good, the service was good, the ports were good. I would definitly go on this same ship again.

A truly relaxing cruise by CherylW3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean. I appreciated the fact that the ship, whether by design or just due to the the time of year, seemed to be occupied by more "mature" people. Don't get me wrong, I love kids, I have three myself, but because they are grown (and so am I) I appreciate the fact that I don't have to trip over wee ones or listen to the occasional temper tantrum. Very nice indeed!
