Great Cruise

Sail Date: May 07, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The boat was smaller than other cruise boats that we have sailed on but I understand that is needed to enter the smaller islands.
The boat had great food. On Mothers Day we paid the extra fee to eat at Chops Grille..food was excellent, filet mignon..etc..great!
I wish I had know that this cruise is not primarily for the young single folks as I hd brought my 24 yr son with us and he was ready to party..unfornuately the club was bearly full at most 20 people (beautiful club by the way) otherwise the only other problem was h casino..payouts were only visible on the table games,,most people left the casino around 11pm after giving so much to the slots with no payouts...overall we still enjoyed our trip and the cruise

Pros: The food, Service

Cons: The Casino seemed to pay out only at the tables

Recommends Serenade of the Seas? Yes!

Basseterre, St. Kitts
We visited the beach that has black sand..not bad

We went to Riddels Bay beach..Beach view was beautiful, sand seemed to be man made beach...Due to the travel time of May the ocean was chilly
Bridgetown, Barbados
The ocean in Barbados had something in the water that stung us a few times. I could not see jelly fish but assumed it was some type of ocean bug..not sure
