Review summary

Came on this cruise with hesitation from other reviews. Was quite surprised with food. Tasted great, good selection to chose from. Chops is the best but now $30 per person. The comedian on night 4 was hiliarious! Even though it's a small ship couldn't tell there were over 2000 people on board. Aruba and Curacao are very windy ports so any water excursions should be on the calm side of the islands. We had 6-8 foot swells which we were told are normal. St. Kitts very hot but must try the zip line - what fun! Also, Batik factory is expensive but quality is good. Shopping in Aruba is priced like U.S. but tax is only 1.5%. Curacao is still in dutch guilders but they will convert to U.S. currency. Lots of purchasing in Curacao. There is not an art auction on this ship but Bingo is played a couple of days during the week.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Was expecting so so tasting food but was quite surprised at how well the food quality has improved. Salad available every day for lunch. Great improvement.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Comedians were great.... show productions were so so.

Service and Staff

Very friendly. No attitude with anyone.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship size is small but well laid out. Room is smaller than what we are use to with Royal. Deck 7 middle area has exteneded size balcony.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Like I said before, we were on deck 7 and our room was smaller than what we were use to. However, our balcony was larger then the rest of the ship.

Ports of call

Willemstad, Curacao

Take a tour of the island, then come back and go shopping. Make sure you cross the floating bridge. Very cool.
Don't Miss: Crossing the floating bridge

Oranjestad, Aruba

Enjoy their beaches and shopping in the upscale shops. Save on the taxes
Don't Miss: The beaches

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Still my favorite beach is Megan's Bay. Great port to do a lot of stuff on. Suggestion: go to little grocery store in shopping area just outside port, get sandwich made and take a taxi to Megan's Bay for the day. Picnic on the beach!
Don't Miss: Megan's Bay

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
Have been to Puerto Rico several times and it's an okay port. Tired of the touristy stuff there. But, must say, got our best deals on jewelry there.... also no tax.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Hot Hot Hot! But try the zip lining. Also Batik factory makes beautiful stuff. Pricey but holds up year after year.
Don't Miss: Zip Lining

Pros: Clean ship, great food, friendly staff

Cons: Smaller than usual room, some entertainment okay
