Review summary

Ship was beautiful and well run both by seafaring and passenger care staff. Even in a force 6 wind, ship was very stable which was great but sort of disappointed my wife and myself - we wanted more of the "at sea" experience!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We are not really into food but were very pleased with the wide selection of dishes. Loved the meuseli for breakfast, very smooth.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very friendly and ready to help at every turn. Noticed they kept on an even keel even when passengers behavior to the waiters was incorrect.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Finishes were beautiful and could see considerable attention to detail everywhere. Well laid out too.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very well designed use of the space. We did not feel cramped. Decor and finishes good.

Ports of call

Bridgetown, Barbados

OK, nothing special - sort of commercial place around the dock and the island tour we took did not reveal too much exciting. Would not bother again but nice as a one off experience.
Don't Miss: Submarine trip to the reef.

Roseau, Dominica

5 out of 5
LOVED the island. Much more than we were led to believe - LOVED the rain Rain forest trip up to the emerald pool. Drive round island was most enjoyable. Lovely vistas. Disappointed we were not offered trip to Fort Brimstone - no pre literature we received mentioned it.
Don't Miss: Probably rain forest, see the abundance of vegetation, and fort brimstone.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Plenty to do and nice island. We took a trip on a "tall ship" which was not as we were led to believe but everyone was friendly enough. Would not recommend that trip though. Liked the streets and shopping areas.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
Liked the place and people very much. Felt safe.
Don't Miss: Railway trip.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

OK but a bit of a slow start. Not much going on there, is there? Would not go again.

Pros: whole experience

Cons: tipping angst

Recommends Serenade of the Seas? Yes!
