Review summary

Great cruise. A little disappointed that the temps were so high this year. Didn’t give the normal allure.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Ease of embarking was very easy. Just showed my passport and boarding pass. Got my shipboard cards and was on my way.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food in the dining room was good but portions were small. The food in the buffet was average but nothing special. The specialty dining was great, the shipboard fast food was good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Did the art auction which is way overpriced but it seemed like there were lots to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Seems like lots to do.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service in the buffet areas to get drinks was poor but everywhere else was very good. In the buffet they should have self service available as well as the roaming wait staff, that would make it easier for people to get drinks.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was the standard older princess/carnival design. Good selection of shops, entertainment, and venues. Everything was clean, however they had several areas closed due to remodeling and upkeep.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice cabin for our first inside cabin. Small but adequate for what you need. Would be nice to have more electrical outlets.

Ship tip

Buy the internet, drink packages, and photo package early.

Ports of call

Cruise Glacier Bay

Nature at its best.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

3 out of 5
Unless you stay an extra day, you won’t see much of Vancouver.

Victoria, British Columbia

Waste of a stop. Nice town but nothing special. Docked at night so didn’t see much. Would be better to stay in Ketchikan longer.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Great port. Beautiful and lots to see.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Great port but need more time there.

Juneau, Alaska

Great port. Lots to do.

Seattle, Washington

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
They put us into groups to disembark which made it easier but lots of people jumped into groups that were ahead of them. There were lots of confusion on where to go once inside the port building. Would be nice to have more people to tell us where to go once we got our luggage.
