Review summary

This wasn't my favorite cruise even though the destinations were lovely. This was my first princess cruise experience and probably my last.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was fine, quick and easy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I was not fond of the buffet after breakfast times, the dining room was nice and the food generally good. The salty dog was a miss but the pizzeria was a hit. Most of my meals were from the pizzeria

Horizon Court

3 out of 5

I only enjoyed the breakfast food here. Lunch and dinner sucked.

Mermaid's Tail

4 out of 5

Bar staff always came through.

Botticelli Dining Room

4 out of 5

They wait staff were very nice. Gave it 4 starts instead of 5 because I kept getting bad drinks which I still had to pay for.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The deck was not fully functional with construction happening all over, the movies under stars experience was terrible and the staff were not helpful at all.

Lotus Spa

2 out of 5

Way to small, and over priced.

Calypso Cove

5 out of 5

Small but nice. Glad they had sweaters for sale.

Gatsby's Casino

5 out of 5

I rarely go to ship casinos because of cigarette smells, but this one smelled awesome, like gain detergent. I also spent wayyy to much money here.

Photo Gallery

4 out of 5

Staff were nice, they were wasteful with all the photos they printed and had to throw away.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The performers were not the greatest. The singers all sounded a like and their voices while nice, did not compliment the songs they were singing. The dancers were awesome.

Movies Under The Stars

1 out of 5

The screen was under construction and they had a terrible replacement. The deck looked like a total mess and the staff were not helpful or clear about how it worked for newcomers

Explorer's Lounge

5 out of 5

Very comfortable space and I had the most fun here with the mini game shows and trivias.

Princess Theater

5 out of 5

Venue was nice

Club Fusion

5 out of 5

Nice place to sit and be entertained.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The only staff who were nice were our dining room wait staff. And Ezra the shopping specialist.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was nice and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin number L012 was very small, the shower tiny. The closet space was awesome. The beds were smaller than the standard twin size beds and only good if you stay in one position throughout the night.

Ship tip

This ship should not have been an Alaskan cruiser. There were no warm spots on deck which was extremely disappointing.

Our railway excursion was cancelled at the last minute, but we were able to scramble and find another last minute. Not everyone was so successful.
