If you are an anytime diner, you still need a reservation for the Symphony and the port side of the Concerto dining room. If you eat at about the same time each evening, you can arrange with the Maitre 'd to have the same table every night.

Tip would be to ascertain entertainment onboard utilizing BOTH venues! Piazza beautiful but prefer small gatherings perhaps with comedian or singer or kereokee. Princess Live good sometimes.

Try to get a room in the front of the ship - the elevators after the ports of call will take you directly to your area of the ship as soon as you get on!

stay away from the dining room food (terrible) and use the cafeteria food lines (8 and very good)

Don't expect to do laundry... very few machines and crowded so take enough clothes to go without having to do laundry.

Southern Caribbean was more "formal" than Eastern Caribbean - very strict about dress code while the Eastern Caribbean was more "casual". Ship updates were wonderful.

Smoking is extremely limited with back deck 16 being open air smoking and Churchills on Deck 6 by Casino being indoor and VERY heavily smoke filled. Casino had equal night of smoking and non-smoking. New video screens throughout casino made it crystal clear if it was a non-smoking night with zero

The only tip I can give about the Royal Princess is get ready to cruise on a gorgeous ship with outstanding staff. You can't go wrong.

Use stairs whenever possible so that you can get some exercise, seeing how you eat so much. Lol

Because of dining room and kitchen placement - cannot travel the length of ship on decks 5 & 6. Use Deck 7 for navigation. Crown Grill steak house is well worth the surcharge.
