Review summary

Center piazza makes for easy gathering of friends and activities.

Cruise is too focus on shopping - lacking highlights on ports visited. Feels like I have not gain anything from visiting all those islands as they all promote the same shopping areas and not of the islands themselves. Didn't feel like a trip at all - more like visiting the same shops from one port to another.

I try now to visit European ports or further afield like Asia, South Pacific, Australia/New Zealand.  I have also taken some river cruises, too.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a bamboo shirt, color-changing t-shirt or "diamond" jewelry, then you are in luck!

After you have been on a cruise ship more than once, you will see the same stores, sales pitches, etc. over and over again.  Same thing with "souvineer shops" at ports.  You learn to ignore it unless you are searching for a particular thing.

With most mainstream cruise lines, the port areas are all the same. The difference, where you will get to see the islands themselves, are on a well chosen excursion -- whether sponsored by the line, an outside agency or simply by yourself.

What I do is watch U tube Vlogs of actual cruises and their port experiences and tips. When I get to the ports I navigate better. There are many great videos. Sea cruisers are my favorite. Its like being there with them.
