We sailed to Norway with four ports of call of which we made it to all four. Norway is a delightful country easy to walk around and pleasant people. On the way back we disembarked in the city of Rotterdam as opposed to Amsterdam due to water levels in the canal. The Captain let us know in a timely fashion and Holland America provided transportation for those who need to get back to the Amsterdam area.

Spectacular scenery on this Norwegian Fjord cruise. We sailed between waterfalls and went to the top of snow covered mountains. We were in Amsterdam for just a day but it was still enjoyable. The Movenpick was a decent hotel that was right next to the port allowing for easy walk onto the ship.

It was a 7 day cruise out of Amsterdam to the Fiords of Norway. It was a once in a lifetime experience. This kind of scenery cannot be duplicated anywhere else.

The HAL service is getting less and less by mouse bites. Very little steps, small changes but less and less. Example. The used to be a steward during breakfast with a large plate of pastries. Good while waiting for your breakfast. Gone. Rudi's Sel du Mer. A fish restaurant, high extra payment. Very little fish. Much more meat. Should be called Surf & Turf. Still the HAL is great but within a few years, it will be a typical USA cash machine, like the others. The picture shows the memories through the years. The last name giving, the Ms. Rotterdam, just a small tile. The name giving party compared to the Ms. Koningsdam: Nothing! Less is more!

Great ship, great cruise. St.Petersburg, Talinn and Helsinki were skipped due to Russian/Ukraine war. German ports not value adding. Great crew !

The Rotterdam is a magnificent ship and very was stable in a bit of rough North Sea weather. My complaint with HAL in the past was the closet sized public sauna and that was rectified beautifully. As we're just coming out of the pandemic there were signs everywhere recommending wearing a mask, but never did anyone ask me to put one on even though the entire crew still wore masks. I love the fact that there is a bridge cam and aft cam available on the tv and the amount of storage in the cabin was fantastic. Also, for an ordinary balcony cabin, the shower was an excellent size. My one complaint (minor as it is), is that the vent in the bathroom is quite loud and there is no on/off switch or adjustment of any kind. Even with the door closed we could hear it very easily, so lying in bed, there was always the drone of the bathroom exhaust vent. Other than that, we loved everything about the ship. Embarkation was fast and we were able to access our cabin the moment we boarded which is a real plus being able to stow your carry on, or even a quick change before lunch. Loved the cruise and the ship!

Had a wonderful time! The ship and staff were excellent. Loved the new ship. Food was awesome!

Cruise was marred by two issues: 1. We had originally booked this cruise for spring of 2021, booked onboard a previous cruise. HAL refused to honor the "perks" from that booking, and raised the price to boot! We will not use HAL again because of this. 2. Management on the ship "hid" from the passengers who had legitimate complaints. The internet service said to be "streaming capable" was functionally worthless. And at $349, the cost was more that we pay for home service for A YEAR!

Crossing the Atlantic is our thing. This ship made it a wonderful cross. Food disappointing, pretty much all around, but most so in specialty Dining. Cabin, beverage, dining, customer care desk service was a 10 -- superb, except Specialty Dining -- between 0 & 2 out of 10. Cabin - especially storage & bath just wonderful.

The newest of the “Dams” did not disappoint. The ship is beautiful and the funky art is brilliant.

We thoroughly enjoy Holland America and have another cruise booked with them in June. The level of service is a little higher than more bargained priced lines. The bulk of the clientel are a little older and we appreciate the service and "quieter" environment. The ships are emaculant and well maintained. All the staff seem to enjoy their jobs .

We always enjoy sailing HAL. Finally after almost 3 years we were able to sail again and we are so happy we chose to sail on the beautiful brand new Rotterdam. Classy all the way!

The Rotterdam is a beautiful ship with a friendly staff that are eager to make your cruise a memorable one. I didn't visit the kids playing area so I cannot say how those activities were.

We just wanted to relax and do nothing. The ship is lovely but there were a few missteps the first day. We feel the Orange Club is worth the expense.

Beautiful ports and ship. Repetitive food and Entertainment on a back to back.

This cruise was so relaxing and we're ready to go again!

My first cruise in about 20 years. It way exceeded my expectations. Plenty of food, snacks, and top shelf alcohol. The crew was fantastic. Our RCI guide found us the perfect stateroom
