Our First Cruise and we Loved it!

Sail Date: December 02, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Cabin: 8068

This was our first ever cruise and we did not want to cruise with a large number of passengers. Oceania was highly recommended by friends so we took a chance.  We were not disappointed. Outstanding service, great accommodations, world class cuisine, friendly and helpful staff all created a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The ships facilities were first class all the way, from the library, pool, various dining areas and bars, each presented a venue in which to enjoy your activity. We have already booked another cruise with Oceania.Love

Cabin / Stateroom
Loved having the veranda. Room attendants were always ready to assist in supporting our requests. Plenty of room for all our clothes.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
No real issue other than the work to sanitize ship did slow down embark.
Ship Quality
Kudos to the staff for all their hard work in maintaining sanitation standards.
Destinations and Excursions
Onboard Activities
Just a wide variety of activities. Something for everyone.
Service and Staff
Forgot her name, but our room attendant was the best. Smiled all the time. Cruise Director, Ray, was a joy to watch.
Food and Dining
Wish I could have tried more. It would be nice of the could do tapas in specialty dining. Do take advantage of each of the specialty dining venues.
Grand Turk Island
Definitely book an excursion. We enjoyed the Ultimate Snorkel Adventure.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Great walking city.
Gustavia, St. Barthelemy
Rainy day and a Sunday; basically island is closed.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Great shopping venue. Gold Eagle Sailaway very nice.
Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Visit Virgin Gorda if you have not done so in the past.
Cayo Levantado (Samana), Dominican Republic
No need to do excursion. Just take the tender. Bring your snorkels; Plenty to do at the beach.
Nassau, Bahamas
If you have never visited Atlantis do so; purchase tickets for the aquarium.

Enjoy a game of Shuffleboard, putt putt golf or croquet in the early evening.
