Excellent 25th anniversary cruise by JohnH12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We chose this cruise for our 25th anniversary trip and couldn't have been happier. This itinerary had one less port-of-call than many cruises, and we enjoyed the extra time on-board the ship at sea. The food and service were outstanding, and the junior suite we selected was great. The extra space in the cabin was perfect for the peaceful time spent relaxing and reading as we sailed, and the balcony was incredible for viewing the beautiful scenery and wildlife.

The cruise was pretty good but I wouldn't cruise again to Alaska. There was great customer service, especially with an infant child.

Stinky ship to Alaska by KentE

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The Rhapsody is smaller, old ship which is showing its age. The hallway near our interior room smelled like sewage several days during the cruise. The main staff was friendly but some barely spoke English. The excursions were too expensive for what they covered. The weather in early May was perfect but it was too early to see the whales. There were mostly older guests on the ship (50+) but just a few kids.

Outstanding customer care by CindyB7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

This was my mother's first cruise. She had a mild stroke about 10 days prior to sailing. She was overwhelmed by the size of the ship at the dock, but the staff were so attentive and helpful that she was soon very comfortable and enjoyed herself immensely. The ship was spotless! Everywhere we looked something was been scrubbed, vaccuumed, or painted. However, I wish that there was a better way to make the stewards' carts more inobtrusive. The hallways are narrow and with the carts in there, it is ovten difficult to get sown the hallways, particularly if you are assisting someone or in a wheelchair.

Exceptional ! by MarilouL

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Rhapsody is a small ship but well maintained. The smaller size makes you meet and connect with other people . It is very easy to go from one section of the ship to the other. Though there are only two major places to eat, both area gives you a lot of options of food to chose from.

A great vacation by LorraineK

Sail date: / Traveled as:
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The personel on the ship could not have been nicer. our dining room men were so attentive and thoughtful we couldn't have asked for better. The weather was soo good we were expecting cold but we enjoy spring like and clear all except for one day and that was in Juneau where it is always raining although it did stop raining in the afternoon. The scenery was so beautiful even the pictures do not do justice. If ever given the chance to go to Alaska take it. This was by far the best cruise that we have taken.

A GREAT ALASKAN CRUISE by TammyH5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

This ship, Rhapsody of the Seas, was beautiful. I think the staff was there to help with anything we needed and were all very pleasant. All th food we had was great and a lot of selections. We had 3 ports, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria, all were very beautiful and picturesque. We did take a lot of pictures and have told all our friends about Alaska. We will be planning another cruise in about 4 years and will definetly reccommend this ship to others.

A wonderful cruise by PhillipH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

Had been excited to finally cruise with Roayal Carribbean. And after the week, even though we had a fabulous time, and below having some excellents in service, still not quite sure we would cruise with them again. As said below, due to the fact that we were on an older ship, although refurbished, still not the greatest.Even the itinery wasn't the greatest for this particular week,as it didn't go to ketchican, which we liked alot. This week, was just the one that worked the best for our group of seven,so still fine,but.... And the food was below standards for such a hiped up cruise line, seemingly great to cruise with.We were not impressed with The Roayal Carribean reservation line at all.And not impressed with the on and off ship servce either.C!ustomer service and friendlyiness, lacking in both areas! This being said, this doens't mean it ruined our thoughts on cruising. We are avid cruiser, and always will be.We love it,and all the ships are still beautiful and we still love it.So will continue to find itineries to explore.Just not sure it will be with Royal Carribean!

a wondersul cruise by PhillipH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Well.this was an old ship and even though refervished and still all ships are beautiful, this one didn't look redone. It was cramped in some areas. And with Royal carribean having this itinery to alaska, which houses alot of the elderly, they should have more spacious accomodations for wheelchairs, walkers and scooters, and they did not.It was very hard for some of our group to get around and find chairs without arms to sit in.Staff was excellent in assisiting,And the main entertainment areas were comferable.just not the dining areas, which is where you do spend alot of time onb a cruise! The on baord service was excellent, but the check in and of the ship agaents, were boarder line rude.So were a few of the royal carrbean staffs checking us in at embarkdation. We will defiently always be avid cruisers, but not sure we would pick royal as our only last choise in the future.Especially with their customer service line also lacking in customer service,so even if you could get passed them to make a reservation with kindness. So even though we had a wonderfula time and love alaska, not sure it would again ever be with this cruise line.Maybe the newer ships are better. And in the end, also becareful about loosing any luggage at check out.Royal Carrbian mite try to chage you for delivery to you of that lost luggage!

Magical Mother Nature by DebbieH3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Rhapsody of the Seas Comfortable and negotiable...large enough to be impressive and small enough to navigate easily. The ship was clean, the staff exceedingly friendly and genuine, and the entertainment was fantastic...really varied and professional. The indoor pool and hot tubs in the Solarium were a lifesaver.

Great Alaska experience by CarlL2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

This was my first cruise and my wife's third. We had a great and memorable time throughout the duration of the seven day cruise. The crew and their service was excellent, as well as very personable. The food was great and there were multiple options for meals throughout the ship (formal dining best at lunch and dinner, and informal buffet dining at the Windjammer Cafe was best for breakfast). There were way too many fun excursions to chose from with so little time at port. This is likely due to encouraging passengers to book another cruise! If you enjoy the outdoors, this is an excellent Alaskan cruise to go on!

My least favorite by KimW12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Overall I would rate this cruise my least favorite out of the eight other RC cruises I have taken. The service was not great, the entertainment was ok, the choice of activities was poor and there was no excitement. Very boring. Thank God the weather was good and the views were great. The ship had two days at sea with little to do after leaving a city that had 2 streets where the docked all day, pointless!

We sailed on Raphsody of the Sea. We had a wonderful cruise. This was our first cruise but it will not be our last. This was more of a learning experience for us and it was still awesome. Thanks

Great family cruise by TravelingF

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We took this cruise with our extended family. Together we had 2 grandparents, 4 parents and 7 kids ages 10 - 5. We all had a great time. It was perfect for us, not much night life my husband and brother in law report, but that was fine with us. The kids all loved kids club. It was a nice small group of kids so they all made some really nice friends and the staff was so energetic and fun that the kids all had a ball! They would have been happy to stay in kids club the whole cruise! Happy kids = happy parents, so we all had fun! The rock climbing wall was a big hit as well! We were stuck with the late dining, so had several meltdowns with the little kids, but the staff went out of their way to try to make them happy, even making paper animals out of the kids placemats and cutting the kids meat for us! A couple nights we fed the kids early, and put them in kids club so we could have a relaxing adult dinner. That worked out great!

I enjoyed it! by SangsooK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The ship was convenient, cozy and good mood. I enjoyed every moment. When I'd like to sit silent I spent time at 'schooner bar', like to enjoy music and show, went to 'Broadway' or main hall.
