Rhapsody of the Seas

Comfortable and negotiable...large enough to be impressive and small enough to navigate easily. The ship was clean, the staff exceedingly friendly and genuine, and the entertainment was fantastic...really varied and professional. The indoor pool and hot tubs in the Solarium were a lifesaver.

Pros: The escape from the unbearable Southern summer heat

Cons: The transfer to SeaTac

Recommends Rhapsody of the Seas? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Smaller than normal. And amenities (samples of products) are limited to suites only. Staterooms have a water boiler for tea, a hair dryer that is not attached to the wall, and a safe, and plenty of storage bins. They also have both European and American electrical outlets.
Ship Quality
Interesting artwork throughout and
plenty of private and quiet space
Food and Dining
An incredible variety of food items...from fish to venison. The fact that no extra pay restaurants are onboard adds to the quality of the food and variety of offerings.
Service and Staff
Some employees have been with RCCL for almost 20 years...very experienced.
A little more outdoor live music would enhance the ambience--even in Alaska.
Skagway, Alaska
The downtown store fronts and the train ride
Don't Miss: train ride
Victoria, British Columbia
The downtown area, the waterfront, and the Empress Hotel and high tea.
Don't Miss: the town itself...flowers blooming all over
Juneau, Alaska
Mendenhall Glacier and the Red Dog Saloon
Don't Miss: Mendenhall Glacier
