Review summary

This was my first cruise and my wife's third. We had a great and memorable time throughout the duration of the seven day cruise. The crew and their service was excellent, as well as very personable. The food was great and there were multiple options for meals throughout the ship (formal dining best at lunch and dinner, and informal buffet dining at the Windjammer Cafe was best for breakfast). There were way too many fun excursions to chose from with so little time at port. This is likely due to encouraging passengers to book another cruise! If you enjoy the outdoors, this is an excellent Alaskan cruise to go on!

If you can't afford a balcony, hit up the stateroom. Having at least a large window in your room for this cruise is a must.

Loved visiting the Red Dog Saloon for some good times and some interesting history. The whale watching -which is typically one of the more sought after experiences- was a waste of time...unless you are stoked about seeing a tale come out of a water once or twice.
Don't Miss: Red Dog Saloon

The huge garden tour was amazing. You will probably take a thousand pictures without even knowing it. Everything that grows in this world seems to be located in this huge garden!

Panning for Gold and the horseback riding were so fun!
Don't Miss: There is a local brewery in town that hit the spot. Try the locally brewed Spruce Ale

Pros: The many options for outdoor adventure

Cons: Not enough time to enjoy each port call
