Review summary

Well.this was an old ship and even though refervished and still all ships are beautiful, this one didn't look redone. It was cramped in some areas. And with Royal carribean having this itinery to alaska, which houses alot of the elderly, they should have more spacious accomodations for wheelchairs, walkers and scooters, and they did not.It was very hard for some of our group to get around and find chairs without arms to sit in.Staff was excellent in assisiting,And the main entertainment areas were comferable.just not the dining areas, which is where you do spend alot of time onb a cruise! The on baord service was excellent, but the check in and of the ship agaents, were boarder line rude.So were a few of the royal carrbean staffs checking us in at embarkdation. We will defiently always be avid cruisers, but not sure we would pick royal as our only last choise in the future.Especially with their customer service line also lacking in customer service,so even if you could get passed them to make a reservation with kindness. So even though we had a wonderfula time and love alaska, not sure it would again ever be with this cruise line.Maybe the newer ships are better. And in the end, also becareful about loosing any luggage at check out.Royal Carrbian mite try to chage you for delivery to you of that lost luggage!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
TThe ambiance was very nice and convenience of dining and finding food, were great on this cruise, unlike other lines pasts. The buffet food was fine, and variety was also fine.but the main dining room food was of poor qualitty, espe ially the steaks, which was dissapointing, espeically for the money. But the sevice in both areas of dining, was excellent, and they help us alot with our ailments, and finiding chairs without arms.We will miss our dining room stafff greatlyt.Wish them all the best!

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The two nights of professional enterainers, were excellent. And so was the everynight from the cruise dircteor. But the staff enterainment, was not that good, and the variety of enteainment could be improved. We like bingo while cruising, but this one was boring.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The staff was exellent.I usually refrain from rating perfect, but if did, this area would be the one.Two ladies went above service to help me with my child. My child couldn't get enough, and they loved her too.so we will miss them. But the room itself needed more refurishing.the wear and tear from all the kids, was showing!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The overall service on baord was probably the best we have seen, and we have cruised about seven times! The dining room staff went above the service to help our group with scooters and walkers. And so did the buffett staff. We will miss them greatly

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
This was an old ship, even though refurbished, still very unaccessible for the elderly and their walkers, wheelchairs and scooters. And very hard to find chairs in the main eating areas. The theatre and entertainment areas were just fine for seating, and comfertable. The ship was still beautiful. And the publice bathrooms were very spacious.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Even though our room steward was keeping things clean and comfertable for us,the rooms were very small for the four person, outside room we had.Very cramped for the threee of us!especially the bathrooms and shower.Have had more space!
