If your vacation plans are in Europe And you have the time consider a Cunard crossing in stead of flying the price is less expensive that Business class fare.

Sit back and enjoy a luxurious sail on the one and only ocean liner and Queen of the high seas.

Interior twenties retro and beautiful but outside tired and lacking enough swimming areas and pool side bars . Ok for winter holidays would have been disappointed if summer and wanting to swim . Other cruise lines leave outside spaces standing .

It’s very different to other cruise ships, layout etc, not easy to navigate your way around

Could not fault Cunard on any of our excursions

Eat at specialty restaurant inside Kings Court, Coriander. Nice, elegant surprise of Indian food.

Lower your expectations. For us the ship did not live up to it’s pedigree.

Both times I have been on the QM2, I was so glad I didn't waste my money on a balcony. I love a balcony for a scenic cruise, but the transatlantic crossing is the same view everyday. It was so windy that we never knew of anyone that could enjoy the balconies. Much of our cruise we the doors to most outside decks were blocked due to near gale force winds. The ship handles the seas like a dream because it's an actual ocean liner. We were one short stairway from a complimentary laundry room. They even supply complimentary laundry detergent! If you take advantage of this, get up early to beat the crowds, and don't try to do your laundry on the last day. We did laundry early on the second to the last day and it was no problem. It is so awesome to be able to pack light because we can wash our clothes!

The population is very old; 75+ I was appalled at how these seniors were treated. I did not experience the magnificence associated with the QM2. Shop around, you deserve better.

Allow time to explore and know your way around.

Thought we would have to dress formerly of an evening but it was very relaxed and a nice atmosphere at dinner

Make sure it’s the right cruise for you

Very sedate; lots of waltzing. I did find that some of the Brits didn't really care for Americans.

If you are at all susceptible to motion sickness, get a stateroom with balcony midship and on as low a deck as you can find. Better yet, don't travel in the stormy season.
