Review summary

This is our Transatlantic voyage. Loved Winchester England and the Cathedral. Going eastbound was smooth sailing. In fact I needed to look out to make sure the water was moving past the ship. It was almost as if we were in port. Just amazing!

Waiter team was incredible as we have come to expect from Cunard. Any request is fulfilled to the highest standard. Cunard takes care of you the minute you board the ship. It’s amazing what the crew accomplishes all the while wearing a mask and working so hard.

Ship Quality

Art Deco and Clean euro inspired decor are my new favorite while cruising this elegant Ocean liner. Queen Mary 2 is always a “tight ship” so cleaning is one of the top priorities. If available and you can, take a galley tour. Mind blown!

Cabin / Stateroom

First time in an obstructed balcony. I like the vantage point and convenience to gym, library and walking the deck. Yes there’s a lifeboat blocking 2/3 of the view depending on your height. HVAC cycled off intermittently but this didn’t affect the temperature. Hot water pressure in shower was low and was fixed 5 days after reporting to purser’s desk. They have “two plumbers for the entire ship” that work on these issues. Carpet was newer and clean. Gala glitter in clothing drawers. Men, if you want to keep your inner Drag Queen under wraps use a lint roller on furniture as well.

Ship tip

Take Floral arrangement class and skip the Mareel massage with aromatherapy.
