Covid Nightmare by Janusbonus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

The cruise was fine until we both contracted Covid. Not informed prior to boarding Covid prevalent onboard, had we been given a choice we would not have embarked on this cruise. Cases soared to 300+ and Cunard were overwhelmed. No duty of care, supposed to receive welfare call each day, didn’t happen. No priority given to isolation guests for room service. Cunard washed their hands of us upon arrival in LA. No representative to meet us at the hotel in San Pedro. Covid positive guests were left to their own devices. The hotel was adequate but the food arranged by Cunard was disgusting. No support readily volunteered by the Shore Care Support team and Metro Cruise Services, impossible to get through to either one. Told the Shore Care Support team wouldn’t be available over the Jubilee bank holiday, but then told there would a skeleton service. A most distressing experience.

Wonderful, relaxing Atlantic crossing on a Magnificent Ship. by jleslie48

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: Transatlantic

This was a wonderful cruise. This ship is absolutely stunning and the Bars, Night Clubs, and public space are simply at a level of luxury that all other cruise ships that I have sailed on are a distant second. My only wish is that more younger people would take to cruising. I cannot understand how the 30-50 year olds are not all over this ship. Bar's everywhere, day care 24x7 and a designated driver. I also don't know why cruising is not more attractive to singles. It seems perfect to me. You would think the cruise ship would have an open seating table at dinner for singles as a meet and greet.

Surprisingly average by CaptJames

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth

Cunard is always special, but as first time grill passengers I would not recommend them as an upgrade from regular cabins. It may be that the queen's grill suites are more impressive with the service likewise, but for the increase in cost, the benefits are not sufficient to encourage us back to the grill. The cruise itself was a short 4 day trip to Amsterdam and apart from the slow service at the bars (I am sure cunard are still trying to recoup the lost money from covid by reducing staff which is understandable) the ship itself was impressive as always.

A very different cruise due to it being during ‘covid’ times. We felt very safe and Cunard ensured that we all followed the rules.

Cunard Customer Service needs to improve by Dive4x

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: Australasia

This is a Cunard review not a ship review Cunard continue to be pathetic Cunard, I can’t begin to express my frustration with this company. Having failed to resolve their web portal problems for weeks. They had an opportunity to excel in customer service over the Covid19 outbreak. Instead they continue with own goals. Firstly they have issued zero communications via personal emails. You only way customers know what going on it to search for info on the web. Then when they allow you to cancel (and this took several calls, despite they had deleted several ports of call) they hang on to your money for a standard twelve days!! The result of this is many people, me included, cannot book anything else until the money is returned. Their excuse is they are busy. What a surprise!!!! Ps don’t bother trying to call them, their call centre queue is measured in 10 of minutes wait time!! Pathetic, they don’t deserve your hard earned cash. Please share far and wide to warn people. Cunard need to up their Customer Service game.

Quality as expected by josiahchang

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

Overall quite a relaxing cruise. Ship was of a decent lick after it’s 2018 refit. Though there really isn’t much to do. Would have hoped for a better casino and more variety of entertainment, as well as better onboard activities. Kudos to wait staff in restaurants, very pleasant. Ladies in pursers office need some customer service training.

Cruise for the aged by nicknak

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

Lovely destination with lots of beautiful places to see . Cunard should be reserved for the aged as all passengers over 70 . All activities and entertainment aimed at the aged . Food average. Been on a few other cruises before, cunard definitely not for me .

Great Cunard Cruise by wodonga

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

It was our 7th cruise 1st with Cunard It was very enjoyable We are Nu Vogue & Sequence Dances, It was a little disappointing that we had little opportunity to do those dances . The dance floor in the Queens room had mostly Freestyle Dances ,very repetitious . Foxtrot ,quickstep rumba, jive & cha cha. I estimated About 80% of the dances on the ship ,were Sequence dance. So we and others would have liked a bit more Sequence dances.

Awful experience ruined our anniversary and Cunard don’t care by Tracyannesteel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: Canaries

We went Queens Grill to treat ourselves and it was shockingly awful. Cunard promises a wonderful experience with a butler who sees to your every whim.... we never saw ours once. I don’t believe they exist. I need extra pillows to sleep more upright and I asked three times for these but they never came..... like the elusive butler! Our cabin also wasn’t made up in the morning and when returning at lunch time I had to call and get someone to come to do it. Also although I complained on board 3 times about the shoddy service no one did anything about it. Cunard shouldn’t advertise a service they don’t actually provide. It must be false advertisement. To add insult to injury the stewards decided to move our personal belongings off our bed and strip and remake it for the next guest even though we hadn’t even vacated the cabin. We hadn’t even finished packing and had gone for breakfast. Cunard think this is acceptable and even though I complained about the non existent butler, the fact no one acted on my complaints even though I met the concierge face to face and spoke to them on the phone, no chance of an extra pillow and being thrown out of our room by the stewards before we even finished packing. It cost over £900 for two days and it was definitely not worth it. When I complained when I got home Cunard said sorry that was it. So if you want to go on a cruise and be ignored, get frustrated and complain but still be ignored and have an awful time go ahead this is the cruise for you.

Luxury experience by Deedream

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth

Lovely cruise from start to finish. Excellent service and great ambience. Enjoyed it so much we’ve booked two more with Cunard. Enjoyed dressing up for the formal nights and liked the dress code overall. Sea days passed so quickly as there was always plenty to do. Great speciality restaurant the Verandah where you could have excellent steaks.
