Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Wonderful overnight accommodation pre-cruise. Private transfer to cruise terminal was fun as we got a bonus history & area lesson.😍

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Best experience ever. We had Park Rangers on board who gave very informative talks. Our Captain maneuvered our Queen closer than anyone had ever been to huge glacier where we saw & heard ‘Calving’!. We watched dolphins swim, Sea Lions on Ice Floats, Humpbacks & Orcas swimming & breaching. Looking forward to going again, as soon as possible🙏🏼❤️

Skagway, Alaska Did not visit port

Due to rock fall from cliffs along the port, we went to Haines instead. Would live there if I could😗

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
Excellent Flora & Fauna excursion and a nice town for souvenir shopping.

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska Did not visit port

Not on the itinerary.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Did not go into the city but took an excursion to Mendenhall Glacier. Highly recommended!

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
Lovely port with ‘Native’ owned restaurants & craft shops👍

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
City too big & crowded. It’s main focus is to get your every last cent. Would avoid if possible.😞

Victoria, British Columbia

4 out of 5
Not a place I would choose. We were led to understand that cruises departing or ending in Canada (Vancouver) are required to make at least one port call in Canada👎🏼

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Book transfer from terminal! Only one elevator in operation to get to street level. Otherwise you must hike up a long, steep ramp while toting your luggage.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise! I took my mother on the inaugural of the Queen Elizabeth II on the Eastern seaboard for 5 days in May. The cruise was honestly a disaster because it was the inaugural cruise and the dining room open late, the food was subpar and all the servers were confused for most of the cruise. Would love to go again now that they're really up and running and doing it right 😉👍
