September Cruise to Alaska by Mysticdolphin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Ports were Sitka, Skagway, Juneau and Victoria BC. Did the Best of Sitka tour with visits to the Raptor Center and Fortress of the Bear which were both amazing. Very informative and educational tour. Also visited the Sitka National Historical Park where we walked around and saw the salmon in the creek. We booked locally instead of through the cruise line using this AP with no issues. Skagway we toured on our own, did whale watching in Juneau and toured BC on our own.

Alaska Balcony is a Must by tarrbot

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Our one downside was missing Skagway due to 1) high winds (60+ knots) and 2) Skagway letting the Disney Wonder in front of us in the easy spot to park and us having to miss this port due to that. RC didn’t even really apologize for this or give any consolation for missing the port. In the plus side, it gave us a full day in Juneau where we had a half day originally.

A Detailed Review of Our Inside Passage Alaskan Cruise by bskramer48

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

To provide context for my review, this marks our ninth cruise with Royal Caribbean and our twenty-eighth cruise overall. We had previously sailed on Anthem of the Seas in 2016, which made us familiar with the ship's layout. This journey also represents our second cruise through the Alaskan Inside Passage, although it is our first experience departing from the port of Seattle. Our last Alaskan cruise was in 2007 with Celebrity. We chose this particular cruise because Card Player Cruises organized a special poker event during the voyage. They established a dedicated poker room in the Conference Center, offering daily tournaments and cash games. While my wife participated in the poker activities each day, I opted not to join as I do not play poker. We dined with other participants daily at 5 PM and engaged in various activities with the group both on and off the ship.

Great Alaskan Cruise by blderickson

Ship: Quantum of the Seas

This was a great cruise when you do excursions that get you into the area more. We enjoy Royal Caribbean because of the live entertainment all over the ship.

relax and enjoy scenery by heder7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

the cruise as very good with lots of scenery. the ship was easy to navigate and the staff was great. the stops were fun but there were too many seasonal jewelry stores when i was hoping to see more local shops with local products. to see the area and more of the culture, we should have done more excursions but time is limited at stops. the main dinning room was fun but make sure to make early reservations. overall, a great experience on wonderful ship.

A fun ship to explore the first day. Alaska will probably be a hoodie/light rain jacket cruise.

Lifetime experience by Milk76

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

The cruise experience overall was increíble and the goods surpassed the bad. We had a late start due to high winds, the cruise couldn’t dock, therefore we had to wait many hours to be able to embark. Then a spot was taken off the itinerary due to the time lost, which was disappointing because we had scheduled a whale watch and a hike and had to cancel both excursions. Then the weather was bad and the ship was rocking a lot, many people were sick. But after that, the weather was beautiful, and we were able to enjoy the rest of the stops. The food was good and the Washy Washy guys were fantastic! The highlight of the marketplace. They had always a smile on their faces and were singing and dancing with the guests. Which made going there very enjoyable. There are many activities all day around, a lot to do in this cruise, but the most popular ones gets full very soon, so you need to be there with time. They have 3 production shows. Dancers and singers were very good, very well organized, only wished that they would mix more the shows and not have 3 of about the same thing. This cruise had the most easy and fast embarking and disembarking I had so far! Everything went so smoothly and organized. Kudos to them! We loved this cruise and the itinerary and will definitely go back to Alaska, not sure if the same ship because I would like to go to other ports, but will probably go on this cruise to another destination.

My first cruise ever on Royal Carribean by Poshma59

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Overall we enjoyed the cruise for what it was…a chance for us to get away and enjoy time with families and friends in an environment that is out of the norm for us. We will be doing an Alaskan cruise every year for as long as we can…it’s that special! Question is will we be using this cruise line again? We still have 3 cruise lines to try…Disney, Celebrity and Holland so the short answer is probably not.

Great cruise! by oster4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

The cruise was great as expected. I always enjoy all the towns in Alaska. The weather was wonderful at all ports. It was a good get away with teenage children. I have only sailed Royal Caribbean.... They met my expectations as always. The only mishap was weather when disembarkation.

Outstanding Royal Caribbean Cruise by dawgfile

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

I would do it again. The Royal Caribbean cruise ship experience was amazing, every day out at sea was so, magnificent, and all those 15 hours of daylight was a pleasure. Not our first cruise, but it was the best one. It was such a wonderful learning experience, good for my mind, body, and soul.

Just alright by jwarden09

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Was a good experience seeing Alaska, ship was just alright, not much going on during the day inside. Obviously no outdoor activities going due to weather. Adventure ocean only open for 3 hours at a time throughout the day, both kids didn’t enjoy their time there much and didn’t really want to go back. Food was good, Wonderland is a great experience if you have the cash to go. It wasn’t a bad cruise but wasn’t at the top of my list by far. The quantum was nicely decorated but I wasn’t a fan of the ship. The entertainment staff was great and the show Sonic Oydessy was amazing. The show in the 270 lounge was weird and not great. The 270 could be so much more but for what it’s used for they are missing the mark in my opinion.
