Alaska/Victoria 4th of July cruise by kennysli

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

A fun ship to explore the first day. Alaska will probably be a hoodie/light rain jacket cruise.

Lifetime experience by Milk76

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

The cruise experience overall was increíble and the goods surpassed the bad. We had a late start due to high winds, the cruise couldn’t dock, therefore we had to wait many hours to be able to embark. Then a spot was taken off the itinerary due to the time lost, which was disappointing because we had scheduled a whale watch and a hike and had to cancel both excursions. Then the weather was bad and the ship was rocking a lot, many people were sick. But after that, the weather was beautiful, and we were able to enjoy the rest of the stops. The food was good and the Washy Washy guys were fantastic! The highlight of the marketplace. They had always a smile on their faces and were singing and dancing with the guests. Which made going there very enjoyable. There are many activities all day around, a lot to do in this cruise, but the most popular ones gets full very soon, so you need to be there with time. They have 3 production shows. Dancers and singers were very good, very well organized, only wished that they would mix more the shows and not have 3 of about the same thing. This cruise had the most easy and fast embarking and disembarking I had so far! Everything went so smoothly and organized. Kudos to them! We loved this cruise and the itinerary and will definitely go back to Alaska, not sure if the same ship because I would like to go to other ports, but will probably go on this cruise to another destination.

My first cruise ever on Royal Carribean by Poshma59

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Overall we enjoyed the cruise for what it was…a chance for us to get away and enjoy time with families and friends in an environment that is out of the norm for us. We will be doing an Alaskan cruise every year for as long as we can…it’s that special! Question is will we be using this cruise line again? We still have 3 cruise lines to try…Disney, Celebrity and Holland so the short answer is probably not.

Great cruise! by oster4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

The cruise was great as expected. I always enjoy all the towns in Alaska. The weather was wonderful at all ports. It was a good get away with teenage children. I have only sailed Royal Caribbean.... They met my expectations as always. The only mishap was weather when disembarkation.

Outstanding Royal Caribbean Cruise by dawgfile

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

I would do it again. The Royal Caribbean cruise ship experience was amazing, every day out at sea was so, magnificent, and all those 15 hours of daylight was a pleasure. Not our first cruise, but it was the best one. It was such a wonderful learning experience, good for my mind, body, and soul.

Just alright by jwarden09

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Was a good experience seeing Alaska, ship was just alright, not much going on during the day inside. Obviously no outdoor activities going due to weather. Adventure ocean only open for 3 hours at a time throughout the day, both kids didn’t enjoy their time there much and didn’t really want to go back. Food was good, Wonderland is a great experience if you have the cash to go. It wasn’t a bad cruise but wasn’t at the top of my list by far. The quantum was nicely decorated but I wasn’t a fan of the ship. The entertainment staff was great and the show Sonic Oydessy was amazing. The show in the 270 lounge was weird and not great. The 270 could be so much more but for what it’s used for they are missing the mark in my opinion.

i love the Quantum class ships by guapogecko

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

I love cruising. In my opinion the shore excursions are a waste of time and money unless it is something you are really interested in. I would rather go into town and mingle with the locals and shop for souvenirs. The rest of the time I will spend on the ship. Lots to do on the ship.

Big and great for younger party crowd by AlanG07

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

This is our 50th cruise and our third on Royal Caribbean. We prefer the design and layout of Princess ships with a central atrium which resembles a palace or a Roman colosseum which makes you feel special. However on Quantum we felt like we were spending our days in a shopping arcade where you couldn’t see the water. The younger age groups use the pools, rock climbing walls etc but we never use these facilities. There were 5000 passengers on the ship and the buffet always seemed full and hectic. We prefer small ships with less than 2000 passengers. There were no dress standards with some wearing tank tops and thongs in the main dining rooms. No one got dressed up for formal nights so don’t bother taking a suit and tie. The food in the dining room was very good but lunch in the buffet was hit and miss especially the stir fry and stews. Have to commend the staff who were always smiling, polite and helpful. The production shows were very theatrical and very different from other ships. Guest entertainers were very good and the West Indian band playing poolside were fabulous.

Bad!! Choose another cruise line. by StevoDevo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Dreadful experience from start to finish. Complaints after the cruise got only words (meaning less) and some future cruise vouchers for RC only. Can’t even use them on Sliversea or Celebrity (RC company as well). Such a disgraceful company with utter contempt for its guests.

Best dining experiences! by Faancyshafon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

All the food was great! Even the buffet was delicious! I loved Jamie’s Italian and Chops grille. The ship was perfect for my tween boys who enjoyed seaplex with Xbox, bumper cars and basketball and ping pong/table tennis. Arcade wasn’t great. Not worth pre-purchasing arcade credits. Ship was clean. Service was good. Balcony room was amazing! Loved my experience with Quantum class ship as always! This is my favorite Royal Caribbean class of ships!! Highly recommend for families. North Star not working, unfortunately. I’m glad we’ve done it before on previous ship though because they had to cancel our reservation due to North Star not working. Oh, I love the schooner bar!! And bionic bar is so cool!

Very enjoyable Alaskan cruise! by alost1033

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Great, relaxing cruise! I would do Alaska again! The North Star was out of commission which was a huge disappointment as it’s a very highlighted feature for the Quantum class ships. Unfortunately, we both tested positive for Covid the day we debarked, but this didn’t ruin our overall experience. RCCL always does a great cruise!
