Review summary

Was a good experience seeing Alaska, ship was just alright, not much going on during the day inside. Obviously no outdoor activities going due to weather. Adventure ocean only open for 3 hours at a time throughout the day, both kids didn’t enjoy their time there much and didn’t really want to go back. Food was good, Wonderland is a great experience if you have the cash to go. It wasn’t a bad cruise but wasn’t at the top of my list by far. The quantum was nicely decorated but I wasn’t a fan of the ship. The entertainment staff was great and the show Sonic Oydessy was amazing. The show in the 270 lounge was weird and not great. The 270 could be so much more but for what it’s used for they are missing the mark in my opinion.

Ship tip

Check to see what’s operational on the ship. It is in need of some work, northstar was down.

Great town. Don’t bother paying for an excursion for the totems. Take the free bus in town and walk there. Maybe 20-25 min walk, all paved. Easy. Stop by the little aquarium along the way, it has touch tanks and was a nice stop off half way to the totem forest.

Ride the tram! Expensive but worth it.

It was nice to see all the way in to the glacier has great scenery. Not much time at the glacier itself.

I get it’s a legal stop but not much to do in the evening when we arrived. Besides paid excursions, the town itself closed up shop about 2 hours before we got there.

Nice scenery, lots of people selling their wares along the Main Street, calling out at you to come in their store. The lumberjack show was fun and well worth it I think.

Gotta agree with you 100% on 270! We sailed on Quantum last year and walked out of the production show in 270 feeling like we wasted an hour of our life. They held trivia and bingo in tiny venues throughout our cruise were there wasnt seating room… why not hold it in 270 with all those seats? Wasted opportunity if you ask me!
