I would do it again. The Royal Caribbean cruise ship experience was amazing, every day out at sea was so, magnificent, and all those 15 hours of daylight was a pleasure. Not our first cruise, but it was the best one. It was such a wonderful learning experience, good for my mind, body, and soul.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very stressful, after a 2 1/2 hour flight delay. We missed the whole experience, but we did make it, as the last couple to arrive, 10 minutes, before departure.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Divine, from bringing to end, and we didn’t even get to visit all the on board specialty restaurants. The buffet area would be a little crowded, but worth the wait, guaranteed to satisfy option.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We did enjoy the hot tub, and fitness center experience mostly, while on board, just the two of us, no kids. Our main activity was to relax, and that we did!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The stage shows were great, in the evening, after dinner. The reggae music band, was awesome. The other music group, not sure of the name, but the style of music, made me feel, so, soothing, and relaxing. It was really a way, to get out of the room, and visit more of the cruise ship.
Children's Programs
No kids.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
This was really the best part of out Royal Caribbean cruise. Every, experience, and contact made with the staff, or crew was delightful! They are the most genuine people, they always took the time, to look after, any of our needs. 10, out of 10!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This was one of the biggest cruise ships, we’ve ever been on. I’m not much on design, but it works for me. I would rate it a 10. I believe every inch of the ship, was so clean, and maintained, our room was cleaned every day, and there’s a hand washing station, before we entered the buffet. I would even use the handrails when going up, and down the stairs.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Glad that I upgraded to a balcony, no
cabin fever. The room, was roomie, and the extra space out on the balcony, was excellent. The room was cleaned every day. The bed was made, with the funny towel animals on top, nice touch, with fresh towels every day, as well.
Ship tip
Relax, your in good hands, and take advantage of everything to see, and do on board the ship.
It was the first stop from the cruise, we had a early morning excursion with everyone else. I really liked and appreciated this tour. The guide was detailed in explaining the city of Hatchikan, and the people, which included a visit to the Saxman Native Village. I can name all the five type of salmon. Hatchikan, is known for the salmon.
The city of Sitka, laid out the red carpet, and closed off some streets. No excursion, because we did this one on our own. Our bus rider gave everyone a quick breakdown of a lot of things to see, and do for our time. We did some hiking to see the totem poles, and the city tour, all in walking distance.
This was the last stop on the cruise, the port was beautiful. The bus rider was very knowledgeable on the area, and the city. We did do some walking around the city to visit the gift shops.
Bad weather delayed our departure for 8 hours. The buffet stayed open for lunch, and we didn't have to leave our stateroom. We did miss two airline departures.
