We have been on a few Alaska cruises. Always went on the inside passage. This time we took our daughter and granddaughters and told them how wonderful it was and all the whales, dolphins, and bald eagles they would see along the way. My error was not realizing not all cruises went on the inside passage, VERY disappointing.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Our waiter, Imead was wonderful. The food was a little repetitive if you didn't want to try the "flavor" of the day. The Windjammer was usually crowded and hard to find a table
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
I felt everything was way too crowded and things for young adults usually scheduled after 10pm. Hot tubs usually had lots of kids useing as "swing pool". "Free consultations" really weren't, as they really just wanted to sell you something. For example, lipstick color consultation class. The person didn't act like they knew what we were talking about and then asked what color I usually wore and brought out a box of what looked like used lipstick tubes and said "look at these and see if there is anything here you like and I will get you a price on it.
Entertainment

Really liked the piano player who played Billy Joel nights & Elton John Nights...he was fabulous!!! I also loved the guy at the main stage who played harp & drums. The other performers in the same performance were fabulous as well. The other shows I didn't like as well
Service and Staff

Our dining waiter Imade was very good!!! We give kudos to him!!! Everyone from our room steward to the folks in Windjammer, Sorrento's and our favorite Washey, Washey girl were great!
Ship Quality

I felt a little closed in on some of the floors, especially floor 4 & 5
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was nice and good size. Very comfortable
Ship tip
Don't go because it doesn't travel the inside passage, that is where all the scenery is.
Not an equal substitute for Skagway that was on our original itinerary when we paid for our cruise. Then we spent most of our day sitting on a bench waiting for our gondola ride as our time got changed until later in the day.
Did the city tour excursion through the ship which was supposed to drop us in town as an option, however it came back to the ship and dropped us off. We only had an hour to walk back to the harbor to look around. Not enough time so just came back on ship.
