Review summary

Our cruise went exceptionally fine and was fine with a lot of different activities that happened during our breakfast/lunch/dinner. A word of great thanks to Sharmila Bardelas (waitress) who assisted my wife twice with orange juice, pieces of ham & cheese to suffice her hunger due to low sugar. Francisco at the indulge for our comfort and fast service of our food and Paulo at Hudson's for quick in taking care of our orders and delivery of our orders, a lot of good people working around the ship and too hard to mention all their names. Everything that we needed was greatly taken care of. Nice to cruise NCL. Our status have changed to Diamond after this cruise.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining rooms were fantastic, you just have to schedule your meals early before boarding and make changes after you have seen the cruise port schedules and the show performances. We had an excellent cruise after this has been corrected but were so tired after the cruise and we stayed in Rome for 2 more days.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was nice and were cleaned everyday. Our daily towels were replaced everyday and trash were taken out each day.

Ship tip

The Viva was exactly like the Prima except they took out the fresh ice cream station and the Starbucks coffee station at the Indulge. Basically it has the same set up but without the two stations.

Ports of call

Lisbon, Portugal

Check in was great, No problem with it when we arrived and our picture was taken again even when we got our picture taken during check in.

Cadiz (Seville), Spain

5 out of 5
Excursion was great, we hust took a 4 hour excursion as we have been at this place before. It was nice to see it again.

Malaga, Spain

5 out of 5
We took another excursion in Malaga, it was worth it as a repeated visitor, we saw some places we have never been before. Great.

Ibiza, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
Ibiza was great, we justwent ashore and did our own sightseeing on the island. This was our first time on this island.

Valencia, Spain

5 out of 5
Valencia, was very nice, had a tour scheduled here for 8 hours, we had to do our lunch ourselves in the center of the town. Had a great time there.

Barcelona, Spain

We got ashore here on our own, as we have been here several times before, we just concentrated on going at Las Ramblas and its surroundings. Had Paella lunch in one of the terraces on the strip. Prices were really good, affordable and reasonable. You can see a lot of people walking in this area and see some human figures that you would think they were statues. Excellent place to see but very busy plaza and entertaining.

Marseille (Provence), France

5 out of 5
Took a tour in Marseille, although we have been before. Weather was up in the lower 80 degrees after lunch. Great tour.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
This place was expectacular, although we have been here for several times before, it was still nice to see it. A lor of tourist in the area and a few handlers. You could buy a lot of souveneirs to take home. Just remember your luggage limits.

Cannes, France

Nice port to visit again. Just take a tour and see the areas they take you. All the roads were not as big as what we have here in the United States, majority of the vehicles were only 4 cylinders and lots of motorcycles for the local to use to get around. Roads were too narrow even for the bus to go through with parking on both sides of the street.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
This was the last stop we had and stayed 2 extra days here. Went to the Vatican, a lot of people on walking tours in the area, the line going to the Vatican Church and the surroung areas was packed. Long lines all throuhgout. If you shop around the area, things could be a little pricey an you could buy the same far away from here on the different areas a lot reasonable.

Disembarkation

We had a schedule tour that pick us 5 of us and toured the city surrondings, gave us time to see Rome in a different situation. Nice and reasonable for 5 people to enjoy a 5 hour tour without any problems, we saw most of the areas that the tour would bring you but we had a better time as we were in a smaller group. Our luggage was inside the vehicle with us and the driver was speaking good english, very safe, and paid 350 Euros for the five of us, Plenty of room in the vehicle set fro eight people. We stayed at the Holiday Inn about f miles from the airport. Took another hop on hop off the follwing day. Nice plkace to visit but very busy.

Thank you for your review. I agree the Viva is s beautiful ship. Only thing is they put the Starbucks upstairs of the Penrose bar (atrium) and you can still get the ice cream in the buffet area.
