Since we were in a suite, we were given first class treatment. Room Stewardess was excellent. Utilize the small dining area for morning buffet. Also utilize the main dining room for breakfast rather than buffet. Service was excellent

NCL has "Freestyle Cruising," which I really do not care for. It's nearly impossible to get to know any other passengers. Recommend that you always ask to dine with others and if you find a couple you like, agree to meet again for other meals.

Change the menu at dinner more often. People get tired of almost the same thing every night.

We found the food to be excellent at all of the eating places we dined. Although we did not dine at the specialty restaurants, many guest with whom we spoke raved about the food and service at those restaurants. We on the other hand preferred a more casual dining experience.

One piece of advice I'd give is if you are doing an Alaskan tour, pack warm clothes for the windy days that you want to go out on the balcony. Another is to ring a camera with a zoom feature as zooming on cell phones isn't the same when whales are jumping out of the water. Bring comfy shoes for walking around the ship too. Very casual and comfortable aboard the Norwegian Sun.

There were hidden specialty buffets in the back with a really nice outdoor eating/reading area. The piano bar at the front of the ship was very nice but not always open. I went there to the cocktail party to meet the crew. A very nice early evening event.

If you are handicapped, you want a room in the midship or aft part of the boat. Also, the ramps are very steep for a handicapped person.
