Review summary

This was a nice cruise with good service, good food and great islands.  There was nothing exceptional but I didn't think it deserved some of the bad reviews I read.  The only complaint I had was with the art auction director Chris.  He was rude and insulting. I have purchased from Park West in the past but after my experience with Park West and Chris on this cruise I won't attend another art auction.  The art is nice to browse but the attitude is not what I would expect for someone wanting your business.  Overall the four of us had a nice time.  We had two rooms, one veranda and one window only.  They were big and comfortable even though a bit outdated. Yes, there were a lot of older folks but everyone was nice.  The teen club was amazing.  I guess that is the one exceptional piece of that cruise.

Ship tip

There were hidden specialty buffets in the back with a really nice outdoor eating/reading area. The piano bar at the front of the ship was very nice but not always open. I went there to the cocktail party to meet the crew. A very nice early evening event.

You went to the Oistins fish fry in Barbados?! Love that place. Agree. Would like to see more cruise lines leave later so people can take advantage of these local event.s

We asked our tour guide about a place to have dinner on Barbados. Due to a departure delay we had an extra four hours in port, He picked us up at 5:30 and took us to a local fish fry. It was amazing. A Friday night festival that was becoming very popular for locals and tourists alike. There were maybe 50 vendors cooking up fish. There was music and everyone was a having a great time. So, I would say, longer port time would be better and to ask the locals what they would like to share about their island. We took taxi tours and boat tours. The combination was perfect. Shopping at St Thomas was wonderful,as well as time at Megan's Bay. The rain forest and waterfalls on Dominica was unlike anything I had seen before. We toured the hole island at Barbados, the whole island is amazing. No matter what you do there, you can't go wrong. We toured St Lucia by boat and then bus up to the mud baths and then swam at the waterfall. It was great fun. The French Riviera on St Martin was the best beach ever. And of course we had to go over to Sunset beach and watch the airplanes come in a few feet above the beach and take photos. Okay, I know, major tourist stop but it really was a lot of fun. St Marteen is also where you can purchase very expensive electronics for very reasonable prices. We saw a lot of the young mens on the cruise bringing back cameras and even one purchased a television. lol
