but only if they went places where no other cruise line went!
This was our fourth cruise this year of which three were on another cruise line. While there we no serious issues with NCL, I just felt like they were operating as a new cruise line which was still trying to get the details right. Food was only average, portions small, and not a really great selection. Entertainment was okay (all right, maybe better than okay), but the venues onboard did not seem to fit the crowds (ie room was either too big or too small). Additionally, nearly all of the entertainers were selling something - CDs, books, et al. And while there were two commedians who performed in the main showroom, there was no commedy club. Jacuzzis onboard were small and there was no specific area for adults. The staterooms were adequate, though the arrangement could be improved (as we experienced on our three other cruises this year). On the positive side, the port arrangements were good and the shore excursions about what we expected. Overall however, I'd say this was a very average cruise.

NCL has "Freestyle Cruising," which I really do not care for. It's nearly impossible to get to know any other passengers. Recommend that you always ask to dine with others and if you find a couple you like, agree to meet again for other meals.
