Review summary
This was our first free style cruise. We had been on 11 traditional and wanted to try it. Although it was freestyle at least Norwegian did have some dress rules regarding dining in one of the main dining rooms as well as all specialty restaurants. The boarding and embarking processes went off without a hitch. The shows on the Norwegian Sun were fair at best. Walked out on the magician (boring) Food was ok, but steak in the main dining room was not good. Had to complain to staff both times that we had steak. Had to send it back and get something different .Overall, we are still Princess people at heart.Ship experiences

Ship tip
Since we were in a suite, we were given first class treatment. Room Stewardess was excellent. Utilize the small dining area for morning buffet. Also utilize the main dining room for breakfast rather than buffet. Service was excellent
