Complete all requested documents at home, checking is is so very simple.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was mediocre at best, most likely 10 out of past 10 cruises. Breakfast was the best meal served. The Sun needs to figure something else out for pizza. You can only get it about 3-1/2 hrs a day. Then it doubles as a specialty restaurant.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
We have always participated in past cruise activities but NCL didn’t do it for us.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Some were good some not so much. The comedian was good, a piano player was good at the Windjammer. Not a fan of the singing groups.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was amazing like all ships, very friendly, our room steward Yasa was fantastic. One of the best we have had.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean in all places and for as old as it is well kept. The design is very different can’t walk from end to end on every deck. Hard to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Ocean view Cabin was comfortable but laid out poorly, not much room to walk around the bed, smallest bathroom in any ship we have been on.

Ship tip

I do not recommend using NCL travel for your air travel! Our times were times they themselves would not book for their family. 6am leaving time day prior, 8 pm to return home. And yes there were other options, I looked! Complete all your documents ahead of arrival at the port makes checking in great. Plus sorry NCL I don’t recommend this ship.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

4 out of 5
We had a day ahead of boarding and saw what we had time for.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
We enjoyed Juneau a lot, took a float plane around 5 Glaciers, with Wings Airways, Bruce was an amazing pilot. Then ate 2lbs of King Crab at Tracy’s Crab shack #2. Great place not crowded at all. Also rode Roberts mountain tram.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
We enjoyed all the Alaskan ports. Your was Best of Sitka, saw Bear Fortress & Raptor Center.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
A little foggy starting, cleared up. enjoyed the tour. Saw Glacier Caving it was cool.

Victoria, British Columbia

4 out of 5
No fault for BC but getting in there at 8pm till midnight was not enjoyable. on the night prior to getting off. Cruise lines need the find another out of Country port or do it on the first day of sailing from 8am till noon.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5
From our ocean view window say a Gray whale bubble feeding. Best view. Did a whale watching it was ok. Long boat ride for watching about 5 whales.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the port, White pass train was fun. Tour was nice.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was fast once the crew was given the ok to get passengers out. We checked our bags on the cruise ship for our flight the night we set them out with special tags, never saw them again until our destination.
