Review summary

All in all, it was a good cruise. I expected bumps all the way. Was really dissatisfied with the entertainment but Frank , the comedian was exceptional. I brought 5 friends with me and for 2 of them, it was their first cruise. They weren’t impressed. I went on and on how much I love Norwegian I’m sapphire. Close to my next milestone. Told them to give ncl another chance

Food was okay. But the service was beyond excellent. The specialty restaurants were much better than the main dining room

Get to the bliss early for shows. It’s not a big area and most of the activities are in there Also, the pools were heated and hot tubs were open

Seattle, Washington

No. But we stayed for 3 nites and went to pikes market. Space needle Be aware of your surroundings like in any big city.

No. Took the free tram ride up and took pics. Did some shopping.

Sitka, Alaska

No. Took the free bus to town. Walked to totem park. Went to a local Sitka Indian show for $10. It’s twice a day and the money goes to the tribe. It’s not announced by the shore excursion desk Went into the gardens that was actually a nursing home. They invited us in and they were having a ding a long. We also went into the Russian Orthodox Church. It’s worth a visit There are a lot of shops. Views were beautiful

Cruise Glacier Bay

The best part of the trip Loved the park rangers on board and they set up a little gift shop in the spinnaker. We’re available for questions and gave a talk in the stardust

Yes. We did whale watching. Saw about 6 whales. Eagles and sea lions. They only disappointment was the weather. It was raining. First day of bad weather but by the time we got back to town, the rain stopped. We ate crab soup and shopped a bit and walked thru the town

Ketchikan, Alaska

Yes. Went to the totem park. Saw a show. Totems. Carving. A little shop. Was really disappointed because we docked over 30 min away and the last shuttle back to ship was at 11 am. Our tour was over at 10:30. All our boarding times were changed and we had less time in the ports

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

We were supposed to visit and had an excursion booked. Hit very bad weather. Captain had to slow the ship down. We were allowed to dock in Victoria @ 0800, just to clear customs, but never got off the ship. Min addition to filling out the Canada form on line, you will fill out another paper 72 hrs before arriving in Canada

Disembarkation

Not good. We were supposed to dock at 0700. Actually got off the ship at 5 pm Very disorganized I understand the weather was the problem , but communicating was not great about what was going on We put our bags out between 10 am and 12 noon. Then they were going to call us by color. That kept changing as we got closer to Seattle. First off we’re the walk offs. Then the yellow. Well we were yellow. As the people walked off with their bags, they were using facial recognition. They don’t swipe your cards any longer. Facial recognition takes a lot longer. The machine went down and they didn’t give us a time when it would be fixed. Everyone had to have their flights and transportation rebooked. They finally went back to swiping your card to disembark
