We really enjoyed the cruise. I just wished they would have handled the Specialty Dinning differently. To say there is nothing we are going to do for you was wrong. They told use to show up at 5:35 and we will try to work you in. We did but then was told to come back around 7:00 and we did but still was not able to work use in. They told us the manager would be in touch and he never did. That was the only flaw...

We had a lot of fun and having the drink package was great. Didn’t have to carry anything around except our room key card. It would be nice if there was an easy way to communicate with others in our party, (text messages) without having to buy unlimited internet.

I can not understand all the shabby and bad food comments! We found the ship to be beautiful, clean and well cared for. We were lucky to be on the Christmas cruise and had a wonderful time. Our cabin steward was prompt and friendly. The food was great! We dined at 3 specialty restaurants, Moderno, Cagneys and Le Bistro. Except for Moderno they were super! We dined at Cagneys twice! We ate breakfast at the buffet and everything was fresh and plentiful. The Christmas decorations were so festive and the caroling on Christmas Eve was lovely! Santa even appeared in the middle glass elevator. The bar staff did a great job serving us. All in all a fantastic cruise!

Ship is awesome. Service is top notch, food is amazing. If you have a allergy they make sure you're highly satisfied. Drinks are stronggggggg. I loved our trip to Mexico.

We had a great time on this ship for being our first crusie. It is small but the staff works hard to make sure everyone is having a great time. All the show are fantastic. I can say the buffet is very poor and would not recommend it but all the other dinning opinions are very good.

Absolutely loved the cruise! My family and I had so much fun. There were activities for everyone and the food was fantastic! The regular meals were great- so much selection, and the specialty dining package was delicious: Le Bistro was incredible. Above all else, the staff was truly exceptional (Shout out to Dixon and Alexander!) and really made this journey special. Embarkation was typical but debarkation was the fastest and easiest we have ever had. Thank you NCL for giving us the best Christmas family vacation ever!!! Not to mention we saw HUMPBACK WHALES almost every day!

We absolutely loved it! This was the perfect way for a family from the great white north to spend their holidays! We even saw humpback whales every day!

We enjoyed this cruise. It was the first time we had cruised the west coast. The ship was clean, the staff was good, the house steward was excellent. We enjoyed the ports and the shopping was great! There were little things that popped up ( not enough electrical outlets, sparkling wine we did not drink, some servers unsure of their jobs) but I would take this cruise again.

I want to start off by saying cruising is awesome and ultimately we did have a wonderful family vacation and made many 2017 Christmas Memories. With that being said we struggled with our first ever Norwegian cruise. We have cruised with Princess and Carnival half a dozen times and this cruise had challenges. It started with embarkation. We stood in line for an hour (not a problem its what we expected) However we stood at the counter for an additional hour. It was terrible. The staff all seemed confused on the process and also seemed to have computer issues as well. Once on board everything was fine. Our cabins were clean and ready and our cabin steward was already available and introduced himself. However a majority of the cruise line staff was not as friendly and most of the time walk right past you without any acknowledgement. Something that we are not used to with our other cruises. Yulia from the Ukraine was exceptional! She served our drinks on the pool deck, took very good care of our group and remembered all our names. She went out of her way to ensure we were having a good time. The food was disappointing on this cruise. Which again was something we were not used to. The main dining room menus each night were not exciting and honestly a little too traditional and very bland. The buffet, although practical, left a lot to desire as well. There is not a lot of stuff for kids/teens to do on the Star and that was kind of a bummer for my son. Our vacation was interrupted 3 times with mandatory customer service desk visits as they still couldn't get the accounts correctly lined up as a result of the poor check in process. This was very frustrating. All in all a cruise is what you chose to make of it. Even with the lackluster service we still had a wonderful vacation. I just don't think we will sail with Norwegian again.

This was my families first cruise. I was very disappointed by the check in process. It took forever and because we had birth certificates for some of our party, it took even longer. The ship is very outdated and there really isn't much for kids to do on this ship. The one good thing I can say, which is why I gave 3 stars, is our room was awesome and the steward was the best! There were also 2 beverage servers who were amazing. Not sure I would take another cruise with NCL. The food was just okay but I personally thought the food in the main dining room was horrible.

For my first cruise, I'm turned off thanks to the horrible service, food, and accomodations of this cruiselinbe. Doubtful I will EVER cruise again based on this experience.

We loved the Star...went through the Panama Canal in Early December. Excellent food, shows and service! 14 days of relaxation in a very nicely maintained ship!

Amazingly Excellent - time well spent - we worked hard our whole lives and raised a house full of kids and now in our sunset years we are the kids playing and having FUN

I am very disappointed that I spent all this money for a nice family vacation which we don't get a vacation very often and the negatives definitely out weighed the positives.

Excellent crew, great service, excellent restaurant staff (Delun Alexander and Julia from Ukraine), excellent house cleaning (Wai Linn). We had a great time and enjoyed the cruse and excursions. Made 4 Next Cruise Deposits - That should tell you something :))))))

I enjoyed the ship, but I heard people bitchin about it nonstop throughout my voyage 😕 Amazing itinerary after the hurricanes rerouted the vessel 😊😊

We enjoyed the Star. I will say that having a full suite (not a mini suite) is the way to go. Having the concierge, butler, special in room dining, special breakfast and lunch menus in Cagneys/Moderno for suite guests and other perks are worth the price difference . We were on an 11 day Caribbean cruise (just disembarked today). The staff was wonderful.

We are low-maintenance cruisers...like being on a ship, don't get bored, have our own things to do, don't spend a lot (why?) Like Norwegian's thrifty re-positioning cruises. Sometimes hop on a cruise from New York having booked the day before (if the price is right). This was a most pleasant, adult cruise with good food and fine service; 3 days in Barcelona was a plus. Buffet was fine, main dining room was fine...a very welcoming space. Star is less rules conscious in some respects than other Norwegian ships which suited me...might well have been an issue had the ship been full of teenagers. We will certainly consider taking this cruise again. One small negative, the library is completely internal and not very pleasant.

I like transatlantic crossings to totally disconnect from anything. This was slightly longer due to the hurricane season destroying islands and for me was 1-2 days too long. The ship although nice for me was a little bit small for the long sea days.

Overall a great crossing with many fun and memorable experiences and new people, which over shadowed the poor embarking and Teo negative staff experiences! Doing it again next year!
