Review summary

I am very disappointed that I spent all this money for a nice family vacation which we don't get a vacation very often and the negatives definitely out weighed the positives.

Embarkation

We were delayed by hours waiting to board the ship. We were scheduled to board at 11:30 and we didn't board until 2:00. Once the boarding started it went smoothly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Buffet food did not come close to Royal Caribbean or Disney cruise lines. Never had one meal at the buffet that I could truly say I enjoyed. Selection for kids at the buffet was not good either. My 8 year old lived on cucumber and bread. The main dining room was ok again the meal was ok, service was ok. Couldn't get a reservation at any of the specialty restaurants. The only reservation I could get was 9 pm the night before we disembarked.

Onboard Activities

Music by the pool didn't start till 12:30, and they had a half hour entertainment by the pool everyday. Slides for the kids were very slow, you had to push yourself down half the time.

Entertainment

Comedian was hilarious, the rest of the shows were ok.

Children's Programs

My son loved the kids club. Very friendly staff. Fun activities for the kids every night.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Very few of the staff seemed happy. My experience on my previous 6 cruises the staff were always laughing and joking around with us and my son, and they couldn't seem to do enough for you but not on this cruise. We forgot to take our Do not disturb sign off our bedroom door one night but came back at 9:30 and did it. Our room attendant was still there doing other rooms but told us it was too late she couldn't do ours. She said we could call guest services. So I called guest services they asked me what I wanted them to do, so I told them I would like someone to come get my sons bed folded down. When we got back 2 hours later the room still wasn't turned down. Terrible service. Also by the pool deck I was moving a chair into the shade the pool deck manager grabbed the chair out of my hand and pulled it away from me and started telling me very loudly that if I wanted shade to go to a different deck which was not an option with my 8 year old in the pool.

Ship Quality

Nice ship. Half the public washrooms were out of order. You would go in to use the washroom and the toilets would be full ....disgusting.

Cabin / Stateroom

Average.

Ship tip

Don't....there are way better ships that are way cheaper.

Beautiful. When you get off the tender there are booths set up where you can buy transfers to different beaches. We went to a beach that had a pool and bar/restaurant had a fantastic day.
