Review summary

I like transatlantic crossings to totally disconnect from anything. This was slightly longer due to the hurricane season destroying islands and for me was 1-2 days too long. The ship although nice for me was a little bit small for the long sea days.

Embarkation

The port of Rome was our embarkation port. This is quite a grim port and the rain certainly came down. NCL quickly arranged ponchos to help us keep dry.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We didn’t experience any specialty restaurants this cruise due to my strict diet. The main dining room was hit and miss with our orders being incorrect several times and service time slow. The buffet is not really our style, although selection was varied we don’t like having to struggle to find a seat. Aqua we used many times and generally we liked this restaurant and the service. My only complaint is one day our 2 starters and main course came out at the same time resulting in us entering and leaving within 30 minutes.the

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was small compared to what we have sailed in before. Apart from the broken spy hole that let a beam of light straight onto the bed everything else was fine. Our cabin steward changed after 3 days (eduardo) who was excellent . His replacement Francisco also did a great job of our stateroom.
