Clean ship, nice crew. Buffet food way below Royal Carribean. Slow tendering to Belize

The Spirit staff was wonderful and helpful. They always had time for your needs. Everything was clean and updated. This is my second trip on this ship and I would go again.

I have sailed alot with NCL and other cruise lines, and when it came time to take my whole family (kids and there spouses and grandkids) I picked NCL. What happen to NCL? The food was terrible, (My family said sure the food was good mom) the crew was so rude, I was so hurt and embarresed. I could go on and on but I won't. Sorry to say I won't be back unless things change.

The ship itself was generally clean, the windows were a little dirty. the overall the ship was well taken care of. The decks were not cluttered, trash was picked up quickly, and the crew worked constantly to keep the ship clean.

Most of the staff were pleasant and helpfu;. The Excetption was in the Lagoon food service. Rude staff and impatient. The ship missed out on providing port talks of importance. The emphasis was on shopping and selling . No attempots were made to educate. Pub walks were drunkeness, but, expected.

Unlike the more formally planned days on other cruiselines...NCL lets you do everything - as they say - FREESTYLE. This may work well for some people, but I found many aspects of the cruise to be less than adequate.

MY SON GOT HURT ON THE SHIP AND THEY DIDNT CARE.. THEY WERE MORE WORRIED ABOUT GETTING THERE CRUTCHES BACK !! ALSO OUR ROOM WAS UNDER A DANCE FLOOR SO WE HAD TO WAIT TO GO TO SLEEP TILL THE PARTY WAS OVER AROUND 1AM. AND THEY WOULD START MOVING CHAIRS AROUND IN THE DANCE FLOOR ROOM @ 5 AM!! IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!

Wanted to just relax and not do too many offshore activities on this trip. This led to just staying near the ship and walking around for a few hours at each location. I had been to Roatan and Cozumel and knew what to expect. Costa Maya is a total tourist trap. Belize Cit is just plain nasty and does not look safe. Roatan had open sewage, starvings dogs and shopkeekers that tried to rip you off on the excahnge rate. Like most cruises there are lots of hidden fees. Nine dollars for a weak rum and coke! Internet access is way too expensive. $90 dollars mandatory tipping of the housekeeping staff per person, etc.. The water slide area is reserved for children. This is a pity since it was virtually abandoned by the kiddies oboard by the third day.

I liked the fact that we could eat at anytime on the ship and not get dressed up. The employees were all so very nice and the ports were great! The NCL staff kept everyone up to date on where we were and what to do.

compared to ncl cruises in the past, this was a poor imitation, food was inferior, two of the ports were stops that should not have been on the itinerary.. it was an all out attempt to get in your wallet at every turn !!

Our room was much bigger than on our last ship which was good. Staff was all very friendly and accomodating. The entertainment was especially good with a wide variety, acrobats, comedians, dancers, magician.

Very nice ship.

Not too largeand not too small. 2000 passengers and a crew and staff of 950. I was able to find everything on the ship without any problem. It was not a gigantic ship, just about the right size.

Overall, we were very pleased with the ship, the crew/staff and the accomodations. As with all cruise ships it takes a little while to get familiar with the location of all activities. The seas were a little rough, but the ship seemed to handle the rough seas quite well. The early time of year may have been one of reasons for the rough seas. There was a service fee on all activities that were not standard (spa, specialty dinning, etc), if it was not explained that the fee was already added a person could over tip someone. I think this needs to be made more clear each transaction.

The bar staff is great, the housekeeping staff wonderful, the Department heads and Captain all terriffic! This is the best ship to sail with!!

I would recommend the ship to couples and not families. I do not feel the ship child care workers like their job. However the manager did step in and help at one point, we are every greatful. As a grandma this hurt my heart. Everything else was good to great! The other staff did make up for it. We will sail again but my daughter (that paid for everyone) said not as the big family vactaion.

Overall I was quite pleased.

I would not recomment the cruise to familys with kids. other than that it was great

Overall our trip was fun and relaxing. We went out of New Orleans and went to Cozumel, Roatan, Belize City and Costa Maya. The ship is older and not in the best shape. The bathrooms have lots of rust and water stains. The deck was very small and is very used.
