Great itinerary, overcrowded ship, bad operations by NCL by ilya123

Ship: Norwegian Prima

The ship is nice, but definitely designed for a smaller crowd.

Stunning beauty! by tjeichman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

NCL is our cruise line of choice for the reasons rated above. Beautiful ship, competent staff, great food with many choices and attention to details. Always available to assist as well. We will cruise again with NCL.

Awesome Itinerary by erdoc212

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Prima

We picked this cruise due to the itinerary and the ports did not disappoint. We are frequent cruisers but this was our first time on NCL and were not impressed. Likely will not sail NCL again unless another great itinerary we can’t find elsewhere.

Overall good cruuse by gevans02

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

Overall a very nice cruise. The Prima is a very well designed ship with lots of nice public areas for hanging out. . Our balcony state room was the best we've ever had. Main dining room food and experience was very good. The worst part of the cruise was that 2 ports were canceled.

Iceland Cruise by stefanyzim1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Prima

Communication was poor, 2 ports cancelled within 1 week and the day of our cruise. The time in ports was very short, not many options with regard to excursions. Did not receive any extra priority being in the Haven, no info about special lines, etc. that we found out later in the cruise.

Beautiful cruise to Iceland by jfgreenberg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

The NCL Prima is a beautiful new ship, providing great onboard food and dining options with a friendly, accommodating staff. This cruise itinerary visits beautiful ports with great histories and we thoroughly enjoyed the experiences. The shipboard entertain options need improvement.

Itinerary recommended; Norwegian Prima not so much. by djdc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

We liked the ports and the crew on the ship. We were not happy with the way the cruise started out (late departure, being informed our itinerary had changed). We were not happy that the Observation Lounge was closed (leased to Park West for their art auctions). We did not like the layout of the ship and small venues - it led to crowding and probably the flu and Covid breakout that happened at the end of the cruise!

Amazing Iceland cruise. by acblue69

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

Overall the cruise was a success, but the first 2 stops we missed was very disappointing. To get up on the ship was not organized either, it took us 2.5 hour to get to our cabin. Smoking area was terrible for a smoker person( my wife).

Mixed Emotions for this Cruise by donald1lane

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

Overall, the cruise had some high points and some very low points. The ports that we did visit were amazing. Overall, the food and service was outstanding. Unfortunately the rough weather led to something being canceled on the ship. Overall, loved the ship other than the new layout of the Thermal Suite that makes you feel that you are in a dungeon. The Thermal pool was closed half the time. Very disappointed that they removed the relaxing bars out of the Thermal pool. That was my favorite part of the Thermal Suite.

A real disappointment by channeling

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Prima

I have 26 NCL cruises under my belt, have 6 booked, but I will never sail on this class ship again. I did not find it to be cruising friendly. The staff had a lot of problems dealing with noise issues, groups wanting a room to meet such as for MahJongg or bridge, they cancelled one show because the bleacher type seats in the theater/night club, would not come out completely.

An exciting trip. by tom124293

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Prima

We could not go to Isafjordur because too many ships in port. Seems like a lack of planning by NCL. The Ship and venues were fantastic. The Prima lived up to all its advertising. Elevators were unusually empty except for big ship. Unusually had the elevator to myself.

The ship is far too crowded by design. NCL took all of the mega ship features and crammed them in a smaller ship. by NoTanLines

Most of port time in Iceland cancelled by NCL. without reimbursement to passengers.

Mother Nature Rules by neatsie517

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Prima

Our cruise was disrupted by weather in the North Atlantic off Greenland. We were stranded at sea, but the Prima was as stable as you can get, a tribute to her design. The seas were rocking and rolling, as were we, but not bad. She was a good girl to be on! The Crew and Staff on NCL are always great. I'll be back.

Transatlantic to Iceland by jeneanb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

Very disappointed in the Prima as a ship. I will not choose any itinerary in the future with this ship or the twin- Viva. I hope NCL has plans for the future ships of this design to change some of the interior spaces i.e. the buffet, the main dining rooms, the theatre, bar area seating, Syd Normans, Indulge, the Observation deck etc. Also, we are Platinum and we were NOT advised of the behind the scenes tours, nor the Champagne reception. I had to inquire about them both. The Champagne reception(s) were too crowded, with lines and lines to get in. And really?! Cheese and crackers were all that was served to your loyal customers?!!! Was not accommodated to participate in the Behind the Scenes tour at all.

Had a great time! looking forward to our next cruise. by lbi33rd77882164

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

I give it a 9. The only reason not a 10 is because of the main pool area is to small. The Local Pub is the best! Also, the mini restaurant in the back of the ship on the 8th deck are all very good!!
