Review summary

Overall, the cruise had some high points and some very low points. The ports that we did visit were amazing. Overall, the food and service was outstanding. Unfortunately the rough weather led to something being canceled on the ship. Overall, loved the ship other than the new layout of the Thermal Suite that makes you feel that you are in a dungeon. The Thermal pool was closed half the time. Very disappointed that they removed the relaxing bars out of the Thermal pool. That was my favorite part of the Thermal Suite.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining rooms were very good. Overall, service was exceptionally. The specialty restaurants were all amazing other than Cagney's which was just average. Loved the Indulged Food Hall other than difficult finding seating.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The dry slides were fun although some difficulty with stopping on the way down. The water slide was fun. Loved the Prima Speedway. The Tee Time was fun. Pulse Fitness Center is very nice although lacking in weight machines. Loved the infinity pools. Biggest problem with all this was the bad weather that kept us inside most of the time. Spent a lot of time in the Thermal Suite. Am not a fan of this new layout for the Thermal Suite. Taking out the relaxing bars in the thermal pool was a major disappointment.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Summer was amazing. The Price is Right Live was a lot of fun. The three comedians were great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service staff were amazing. Room stewart and butler were great. The wait staff at Palomar were beyond awesome.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I found the new layout of this ship enticing. Since I studied the layout prior to cruising I found it easy to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin itself was very nice. Very large and well kept. Due to the severe weather it was extremely loud with the waves beating against the bow and loud knocking noises in the wall.

Ship tip

Make sure to study the layout of the ship prior to sailing. Make sure to make all dining and entertainment reservations as soon as they come available prior to sailing.
