Go to Summer Palace for breakfast, best food of day and trip - avoid the Chocolate Experience -- beautiful but really poor quality for taste. Such a waste of decorating talent and food in general. Overwhelming crowds, people bring in baby strollers at 10:00 at night, no tables, lots of pushing.

Check time for the movies on the big screen in the lobby, you can sit the cafe watching the move and getting snacks.

ours had a lunch murder mystery (comedy) worth the money because the entertainment was delightful.

When eating at the buffet of to the Italian restaurant for lunch and breakfast. They have nice large tables and it is not crowded in there.

Stick to the Garden Cafe...it was quickest and you could always find something you enjoyed eating without the wait or the questionable quality. Was difficult to find a table sometimes so go early

After a few meals we steered away from the buffet. There was never enough seating and people would lick their fingers and then pick up a serving spoon (UGH!). Just go to the sit down restaurant and have a nice, relaxed meal.

Check you are not near the upper decks in your room choice. Noise from staff is a problem.

There are activities on board for the children but they don't tell you until you get on board that they are an additional fee to utilize.

Book important shore trips early. NCL sold out shore excursions several days before arriving in Cartagena and that was the most important destination for us. It is a busy port with other ships but they should know all about that.
