Room was very noisy

Sail Date: July 06, 2014

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Suite

Overall the cruise and excursions were great.  There were two exceptions to that.  Getting a drink or glass of wine at dinner was next to impossible.  the first time we were even asked was on the 5th night of the cruise.  The second problem was my room.  It was a mini suite which on first impression was nice.  The problem was it  was right below a prep area in the kitchen where they draged laundy carts back and forth all night long.  I came home exausted from lack of sleep.  The ship gave me a $100 credit on my bill due to the noise.  Be careful what is above your room.

Entertainment
Very good.
Onboard Activities
Lots of choices and fun.
Ship Quality
The ship and activities were wonderful
Food and Dining
New menu was ok. Getting a drink even iced tea at dinner was difficult.
Service and Staff
Staff were great. Dinner service was the only problem
Destinations and Excursions
A little disorganized in Juneau but excursions were fun.
Cabin / Stateroom
Never take this room. Noise at night is unbearable. The room was nice and clean, location was terrible,
Seattle, Washington Take the tourist sites in. They are fun.
Juneau, Alaska
Weather cancelled my helicopter and dog sled tour. No ones fault but very dissapointing.
Skagway, Alaska
White pass railway is beautiful.
Cruise Glacier Bay
The ship was spun around in front of the glaicer offering great views.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Misty Fjords trip was beautiful.
Victoria, British Columbia
Went zip lining and had great fun. Too short of a stop as the city was beautiful and we did not have time to enjoy it.

Tip

Check you are not near the upper decks in your room choice. Noise from staff is a problem.
