It was hard to ask questions after booking the cruise. The cruise lines were always telling us we had to go through our agent and vise versa. Toward the last days leading up to the cruise it was difficult to get any information. I enjoyed the cruise, but I was very upset about the availability of a person to speak with concerning questions.

Alaska was beautiful. Food on ship was not that good.

Pearl was just redone about a year ago. Beautiful decor and condition. Lot of variety in entertainment. Shows were fabulous. Good variety. Crew was exceptionally friendly, and cruise director was very funny and enthusiastic. We had a great, relaxing time! Would do it again. Definitely will look for this ship in itineraries.

the excursions were not up to snuff we paid good money to see whales and all we got to see was black spots a 1/2 a mile away and i was not happy and we didn't see any eagles or bears

This wasn't our first time on the Pearl (had been out of New Orleans to Western Caribbean last year) so we knew what to expect with the ship. Not totally updated, there are enough places to go and enjoy yourself. Favorite spots are the Topsiders bar - awesome service with the view off the back - and the martini bar near the casino. (Note to all cruises: can we cut out smoking in the casino some day? The smoke travels all over the ship and it's really disgusting.)

Cruise was okay, but not spectacular. This was not one of the best cruises I have taken. Had a better time on the Hawaiian Cruise.

A great destination, excellent weather all week. I was never too crazy about going to Alaska but I am so happy I did go. Words can not describe the beauty of the area. Yukon, Canada region is out of this planet. Skytour in Skagway with Brian was the best.

Very poor channel selection for T.V. and no sports. Room stewart was great very helpfull and battender Augge( Ithink) at the main floor deck 7 across from guest service was fantastic.

Beautiful scenery , gorgeous Glacier, worth the trip

Very noisy. Constantly heard loud banging noises and could not sleep. Complained to Guest services and someone was sent to investigate the problem but the problem was never resolved.

It was a wonderful 7 days. We enjoyed the ship immensely and the crew. There was plenty to do onboard and the ports were great. We look forward to cruising with Norwegian again.

We had a great time exploring Alaska in the various ports. The ship had a lot of fun activities and a wonderful, friendly staff who were always ready to help. The excursions were quite expensive but since we figured this was a once in a lifetime trip, we splurged. Every tour guide was super informative and we felt like family by the time we were done. The only things I would change would be to add some dairy free options onboard such as almond milk for those of us with dairy issues. Also, with all the active excursions and walking during the day, it would've been helpful to have the cruise parties start a little earlier than 11 pm! We were too tired to dance by then.

This was our first cruise, and our first trip to Alaska - we had a wonderful time and recommend it highly!

Fun, relaxing ship that wasn't so large we got lost! We loved the small venues and initiamte feel that this ship offered over the Mega ships like Bliss, Getaway, Epic or Escape (ALl of which we have been on to compare) This was one of our fav NCL ship and we loved Alsaka, the weather and especially the people.

All in all, we will not return to this company. When you add up all the small errors, the bigger mistakes, the sloppiness of how many things were done coupled with ZERO peace and quiet, we did not enjoy this cruise at all other than the scenery. We have already booked a 2-week cruise on a different type of ship for the next trip and we plan to return to Alaska without the NCL Bus. For the money, we did not receive a good value.

We enjoyed the freestyle cruising. We aren't big drinkers so we passed on the all inclusive beverage package - it was just as well as I didn't care for any of the red wines they served. I found the complimentary beverages (water, lemonade, ice tea, coffee, teas, juices) more than sufficient. There were tons of hand sanitizer stations around the ship keeping us all healthy. Liquid soaps in the heads, though the shampoo was pretty bad. Tons of storage in our cabin. We actually had spare shelf and drawer space! Very few people participated in the dress up night or white night, and only a few people hung 'door art'. Our cabin steward was the best...we tipped him in advance but regret not giving him his final tip the night before we left because a new steward showed up the day we disembarked... I have a bad feeling our steward didn't get his whole tip :( Wear a watch so you don't have to drag your cell phone around to tell time - not many clocks on the ship. There were tons of activities - far more than we could get to. Loved the spa - it was very generously sized and I liked showering there will the ample towels and robes vs our room. Worth every penny of the price for the pass (cheaper if you buy in advance.) We all thought the food was great. Cagney's and the Bistro were great specialty dining options. Initially I thought the serving sizes at O'Sheehans were small, but after I adjusted to the idea that I could order as much as I wanted they seemed just fine. It was a good way to avoid waste. Remember, they are expecting each person to order an appetizer, soup/salad, entrée and dessert. Since you wouldn't take a doggie bag home, it makes sense to cut back on serving sizes.

When compared to the exact same Princess cruise we took six years ago, Norwegian leaves a lot to be desired. We had two teenagers and two ten year old's along with us. The teen club was really lacking in supervised activities when compared to the Princess activities. Although the daily schedule is filled with "activities," most of them are designed to separate you from our money. All the cruise lines do this, but Norwegian goes to an extreme. The buffet was just OK, while the specialty restaurants were very good. There wasn't the "friendliness" from many of the crew members that we've experienced on other cruise lines. The Norwegian excursions are extremely expensive. Other cruises we've been on with children, had, at least, one evening show that would appeal to kids. The Norwegian "family" show was a guy doing card tricks. The Princess cruise had a "real" magician, jugglers, etc. If you're traveling with kids, go with Princess.

I believe there are better cruise lines out there that offfer better evening shows. Everything is extra on this ship,
