Review summary

Fun, relaxing ship that wasn't so large we got lost! We loved the small venues and initiamte feel that this ship offered over the Mega ships like Bliss, Getaway, Epic or Escape (ALl of which we have been on to compare) This was one of our fav NCL ship and we loved Alsaka, the weather and especially the people.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We hopped a cab and went directly to the ship. No lines, took our luggage and by the time we got inside we waited only 10 min check in and the entire check in process was under 30 mins.!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great food, amazing selection-Le bistro was our fav out of the speciality dining experences.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Be played Bingo, Deal or No Deal, took part of the Art Auction and I enjoyed the Thermal Spa daily while hubby made friends at the Great Outdoors bar or Atrium bar.

Entertainment

We did not make any shows, we enjoyed the casino, bars or just opened the balcony door in our room and relaxed most evenings.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was super friendly, fun to be around and just plain lovey!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean, spotless and very well run. Everything was very efficent.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Mid ship balcony, cabin # 10586-Jay took incredible care of us and our room was always clean and beyond comfortable. The linens and bedding were a step up from our typical experience.

Ship tip

Was all the way through the buffet on deck 12 to find the Great Outdoors, which is the AFT (Rear facing) outside buffet and bar. Amazing space to enjoy breakfast, snacks or the bar with an exceptional view.

Ports of call

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We enjoyed 2 tours-the bus tour, which was simple amazing (W/ tour guide named Paul) and then a train ride thru the White Pass-unforgetable views!

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Great town but due to bad weather all tours were cancelled and most shops were not open due to early docking time.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
WOnderful town but not much to do, China town was more of an alley than a town, we did not want to go see the gardens and we got in at 6PM and had to leave port at midnight. By the time you get to this Port you are pretty ready to sleep. We had to pack and get bags ready to get off the ship early so this is only a fun place if you are a history buff or want to get souvenirs. Heard there is an olsd law on the books that if a ship takes passengers to Alsaka they MUST port her...IDK, but needless to say, this port pales in comparison after all the other Alaskan ports.
