Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
There is always food available. A lot of food choices, lox served about 2-times in a week, no caviar. Too much pepper in the food. Vodka diluted so much - not even funny. Whisky was better.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Fitness center was ok - busy in am, but afternoon - no lines for treadmills. Ping pong table was outside - too much wind - and only available for matches about an hr a day, not every day. Could have been a great activity if it was inside. Too cold for the pool, but jacuzzi was usable.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were ok. Russian gymnasts couple gave a great show. I was disappointed that there were no separate activities for young adults. 15-17 year olds played video games. Not too much action. But 18-22 year old had no organised activities. No club or separated disco area. We had it twice in European cruises, it was awesome.

Ship tip

Excursions on board are overpriced - buy them on line before the trip or at local ports. If you are to shop for jewelry in Alaska - know your prices beforehand.

Juneau, Alaska Did not visit port

We took a tender from the ship and were driven by bus back to the ship. Took 2 Cities special tour from Juneau Shore excursions with Mendenhall Glacia and Whale watching.

Skagway, Alaska

Such a cozy nice town! We took Skagway tours organised by Juneau Shore excursions - bus to Yukon, second day of 2 day special - was amazing. Tour guy Mike was so knowledgeable and really funny.

Ketchikan, Alaska

We got an airplane tour in the port. Service was well organised and the tour was nice. Beautiful views from the plane and new experience of flying private jet.

Victoria, British Columbia

Great place. Information desk right there with Taxis available $50 to the gardens, $10 to the center city. I found taxi service and paying for gardens entry ticket $29 the best option. Taxi waits for you free of charge and takes you back to the city from the gardens. Then you can walk back to the ship about 15 minutes.
