Review summary

It was hard to ask questions after booking the cruise. The cruise lines were always telling us we had to go through our agent and vise versa. Toward the last days leading up to the cruise it was difficult to get any information. I enjoyed the cruise, but I was very upset about the availability of a person to speak with concerning questions.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Seemed to be a lot of confusion between staff and vacationers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Everything was great except trying to get a peanut butter a jelly sandwich for my granddaughter. (which was on the kids menu). One time, we three adults were done eating and she hadn't gotten her pb & j. It seems like that is something that could be made quickly.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

The Legends Concert was fab-tab-u-lous.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was great, but the price for the space doesn't quite fit my expectations.

Ship tip

Book early and book directly through the cruise lines.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
We did our own sight seeing before the cruise left the port. The Space Needle is a must see in Seattle

Juneau, Alaska

My daughter's excursion was cancelled at the last minute. One minute before it was to depart. We understand that sometimes a cancellation happens, but a warning longer than a ONE minute would have been more expectable.

Skagway, Alaska

Ketchikan, Alaska

The time frame the ship was docked was very little. There are several little shops near the pier which made for a nice shopping experience. However, there wasn't much time to shop after the excursion because of getting back on board

Victoria, British Columbia

We did the horse drawn carriage ride. It was already dark and we really couldn't see all the beautiful sights of the town that our guide was telling us about.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Somewhat confusing.

You always have to go thru your agent because none of the cruise lines are allowed to work with you if you have an agent. one suggestion would be to go to the NCL web site and click on the chat button and get answers that way. I don't know if other lines have that option but NCL does and it works. It is also free.

If you couldn't get answers you should be mad at your TA not the ship or cruiseline. You choose to book through a TA so all info must go through them. Next time find a better TA or just book direct with cruiseline.......... This goes for ALL cruise lines

We always book thru NCL and use an assigned agent/concierge who is able to answer questions and deal with most advance reservations.

We always book with our travel agent. She is great. If we ever have a question we call her, if she's not sure of the answer she will find out and get back to us. She is very patient with us as we are always calling her.

We’re been on the Pearl and love that ship.

If you booked your cruise through a TA. That is your point of contact for any questions pertaining to your booking.

I've read your last four posts. Is there at least one positive thing you can say about your trip?
