Review summary

This trip left a bad feeling in regard to taking another cruise with Norwegian. The overcrowding resluting in injury, the constant sales hype, and the strange hours in ports made me feel it was all about money and the trip did not seem relaxing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS WERE GOOD BUT BUFFET AREA WAS SO OVERCROWDED, THEY PUT EXTRA CHAIRS BY BOOTHS IN AN ALREADY SMALL AISLE. oN THE SECOND DAY MY BOYFRIEND CAUGHT HIS LEG IN ONE OF THESE, FELL AND BROKE 2 RIBS. HE WAS IN SHIPS MEDICAL OR BED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TRIP! As a result, we did not get our the rest of the trip was somewhat ruined.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fitness center was smaller than their other ships but adequate. What I did not like is the fitness pesonnel coming up to me while exercising and trying to get me to buy something like arch supports, etc. Also the seminars were educational but charged incredible prices on health product they were selling...1300.00!. I went online and found the same site selling them for 372.00

Ship tip

Wehave been on 5 cruises with Norwegian. this one was disapointing not only for the injury issue which we are still dealing with but the overcrowding and constant sales pressure on board to shop for products. Having had to spend more time onboard I felt harrassed by all this.

would've like more time in this port and ship gave us limited afternoon hours

Victoria, British Columbia

3 out of 5
We did not arrive until 6 pm and it was dark in 30 minutes. The only places mainly open during this time were souvenir stores and bars. although we could stay out until 11, it was a limited occasion. fortunately I've seen Victoria before.

We were on the Pearl on this same cruise and loved it! No issues or mishaps. Sorry you had a bad experience but that is not the norm on the Pearl. We have sailed on it 6 times and loved each trip.

Judypet2 try another cruise line. I was on the NCL Pearl to Alaska just a few months ago and I prefer Princess Cruises.
