Review summary

Great time. Overall we enjoyed the trip better than our 2009 trip.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was very good from the NCL side. From the Canadian side not so much. They needed to see passports way too many times making their immigration experience a real pain.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We were in a family suite which was great. It was spacious and extremely well appointed. We were surprised to find we had a concierge and butler and enjoyed lunches at Cagney's and breakfasts at Monderno's daily.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Too cold for pools and hot tubs,

Entertainment

Entertainment in the Stardust was some good and some not to my taste but good to others.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

3 out of 5
Very expensive. hard to get hotels near cruies port

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5
Beautiful and saw lots of whales.

Ketchikan, Alaska

3 out of 5
NCL has their own port that requires a 20 minute shuttle to and from town as well as a wait for the shuttle. It takes at least 1 1/2 hours out of your port visit time. It rained so we didn't even do ashore

Juneau, Alaska

3 out of 5
Again NCL saved money by parking far away. Juneau was ok we had been their in 2009. It has become much more commercialized. Not as nice

Skagway, Alaska

3 out of 5
NCL saved money again. Skagway had a lot of boarded up store fronts. It had become very commercialized.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Ranger was good also

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska
